Soda came back into the kitchen sitting down and continuing his breakfast.

I still didn't say anything to him which made him really upset.

He said, "Ok, Princess, look I don't like the fact your not talking to me."

I looked away from him to avoid eye contact.

He continued, "Aw C'mon, Princess. I'll do anything just to hear you talk."

I smiled and looked him directly in the eye and said, "Take me to Two-bit's."

He looked away and muttered, "Princess..."

I stood up from the table and said, "I knew it. You won't do anything for me."

I walked out of the kitchen where Champ was sitting in the living room.

I walked over to him and petted him gently.

I quickly grabbed his leash and hooked it on him.

When I reached the door, Ponyboy asked me, "Scar, where are you going?"

I corrected him, "It's Sabrina, and I'm going to the park."

Pony just stood there shocked as I walked out.

I also found something out about Champ and it's that he likes to bark.

He likes to bark at trees, squirrels, and even other bystanders.

Socs didn't dare mess with me seeing I had a vicious dog with me.

More sweet and compassionate then vicious but same thing in Tulsa.

I sat down on a park bench and gently stroked Champ's fur.

I unleashed him and let him roam free in the park but instead he sat at my feet.

I said, "Go on boy. Go play."

Champ just moaned as he turned his head.

I replied, "Or just sit still."

I made sure his eyes were open and his heart was beating because something doesn't seem right.

But then again I'm talking to a dog so I might just be losing it.

I asked him, "Champ, why do you think people want to protect me?

Like I am thirteen aren't I protected enough? Can't I be trusted around here?"

I looked down at him and he looked up at me panting.

I asked him, "Why are you panting? All you did was walk here."

Then, I heard out of nowhere, "Hey, Scar! I didn't know you were back."

I turned around to come face to face with my best friend Clayton Williams.
