School with Josie

After dad woke us both up, we went in the kitchen for breakfast.

Josie just stood there watching us eat.

A horn blew loud and clear outside making Josie jump.

I said out loud, "Bus is here."

Two-bit asked, "You sure you don't want a ride?"

I answered, "Yeah we'll be fine. Let's go."

Josie asked, "Where are we going?"

I said dumbly, "School, your sixteen you have to go to school."

Josie grabbed the backpack I handed to her and said, "School...right."

I got on the bus and told the bus lady good morning as always and Josie came after me.

Helen the bus driver asked, "Woah, who's this."

Obviously talking about Josie.

I said, "Ah, that's just um my cousin."

Helen asked, "You don't say?"

Josie smiled at her and said, "Hello."

I went back and got my seat as I heard Helen say, "Well aren't you sweet."

Josie responded, "I am Josie."

Helen rolled her eyes and said, "And I am late, just find a seat if you can."

I watched Josie struggle to find a seat, so she sat by me.

I was already annoyed by her so I just looked out the window.

Soon enough the bus also picked up Ponyboy, Johnny, and Clayton.

It was nice to see them and Pony hugged me tightly when the bus came to a stop.

When we got off the bus, Clayton was there with a video camera.

He asked me, "Could this be the queen?"

I rolled my eyes and said, "Not now, Clayton."

Josie came off after me and I heard Clayton say, "Maybe this is the queen."

I walked behind them listening to their conversation with Pony and Johnny trailing me.

Josie said, "Technically no, not yet anyway."

Johnny and Pony asked me, "Who is that?"

And I responded, "My annoying cousin."

I listened in when Clayton said, "Nice, honest, I like it. Um..I'm Clayton by the way."

She shook his hand and said, "I'm Josie."

Clayton replied, "Josie, I'm making a documentary. Just listen "The rocky path from humble peasant to homecoming queen."

Josie asked, "The queen of homecoming, what is this homecoming?"

Clayton asked, "You-You've never heard of home coming?"

Josie replied, "Nope, we have no such thing where I am from."

Clayton asked, "Really where's that?"

I thought I should intrude so I stepped in front of them and answered for her,
