Joselinamonteagialo POV

I thought everything was fine, I thought everything was going good.

Being a princess soon to be queen should've been exciting for me.

My coronation is in one month and I had no expectation that this would happen.

I heard the booming sounds of bombs, the loud screeching screams, and I could never forget it was the last time I would ever see my father alive.

Let me explain how this all went down.

Everyone was setting up for the party tonight - it was going to be spectacular.

My dad and my mom were right next to me they were both king and Queen of my country.

My dad asked us, "Did you guys hear that?"

I looked up at him and checked my surroundings which seemed fine.

That's when I heard, "Hand over the princess soon to be queen."

I turned around to see General Phillip behind me with a smirk on his face.

My mom and dad protectively stood in front of me.

I held onto my dad's hand.

General Phillip has always wanted to rule over my country for years.

I said to both of my parents, "Don't settle for anything."

General Phillip had already once attacked my country but that was years ago, I thought he had given up.

My dad let go of my hand and I said to him, "Daddy, no!"

He looked at me and said, "Don't worry, Sweetheart, I'll be right back."

He walked away from me and my mother with the General and when he did, I never saw him again.

My mother rushed me to another room in the castle and said, "Stay right here!"

We heard a Big Bang the first of many go off from a gun.

It startled me and my mother and as I looked at her I saw the fear in her eyes.

She came out from the room but left me in it.

The General said, "Now, give us the princess or you shall die to!"

The security in our building finally arrived holding off the General and his men.

My mother ran with me all the way to the bottom of the staircase.

She turned to me and said, "I just signaled the helicopter they shall take you away again."

I said, "Mother, I do not want to leave. I want to stay here this time please."

At both the same time, I heard the roaring of a helicopter and the General's voice, "Seize them!"

We looked up the many flights of staircases to see the Generals men coming for us.
