Lily rushed to Rachel once the man had left. She was fanning her face as if she was on fire, well, at least she thought she was.

"What's up girl. Did you win the lottery or something?" Rachel mocked.

"H-h-h" Lily stammered.

"Lily talk otherwise I'll have to slap it out of you." Rachel threatened. Curiosity was getting the better of her.

"Hot!" Lily squeaked.

"Hot? Did you burn yourself something? Are you okay?" Rachel rushed to say.

"Of course I am genius." Lily said rolling her eyes and finally talking like a normal person.

"Oh so what's the-. Wait a minute. Hot? There's a hot guy? Where is he? I have to see him. It's been long since I've last seen one of those. That's excluding Matthew of course" Rachel said whilst jumping up and down and looking around the shop.

"Well, there was a hot guy but now he's gone."

"Oh." Rachel  said in disappointment. "Did he take your number?"

"No but...."

"But?..."

"He said 'see you soon'. I'm sure he's gonna be back. You should have seen him Rach. He's perfect."

"Perfect huh? What happens to Matthew?"

"Ugh what does Matthew have to do with this?"

"He is the last hot guy I saw around you."

"And?"

"And its pretty clear that he likes you although he's a moron. And y'all have a deal. You can't be dating anyone right now."

"You know what? I'm going to pretend that you didn't say anything and just wait for Andrew to return."

"Good luck and remember, I'm the maid of honour at your wedding."

"You're going to have to fight with Lizzy for that and when you're done, I'll just tell y'all that I will have two maids of honour."

"Don't mind. As long as you pair me with a hot guy."

"Rach!"

"I'm just letting you know. I gotta go. Mr Weird over there wants something."

Rachel left and Lily's mind still screamed one word. Andrew.

Matthew didn't want to see Lily but he had to keep his end of the deal. Since it was a Friday, he'd gone for prayer. He'd chosen a seat very far from where Lily sat. That way he wouldn't have to meet and talk to her. He watched as Lily sat down at her usual spot. Some minutes later, a man entered and sat next to her. He watched as her eyes instantly lightened up and she blushed throughout their conversation. He watched as the man hugged her.Matthew was angry. So angry. How dare he lay his filthy hands on her. Who did he think he was? Touching Lily. His Lily.

Well, not his but a close second. She was going to be his soon. Once he won the deal. Are you sure you're gonna win? His wicked mind mocked. In all honesty, Matthew wasn't sure that he would win. Although he was scared to admit it, he was almost convinced that God existed and he was only two weeks in. Matthew couldn't lose. He wasn't taking the chance. Lily was his and he'd do anything to get rid of that guy. Lily looked happier than she ever was with him around.

Lily was surprised when Andrew approached her seat at church. He was the last person she expected to see on a Friday night at her church.

"I knew I would be seeing you soon but not this soon." Andrew said.

"Me neither." She admitted.

"You attend here?"

"Yeah, you?"

"No, Justin invited me to see how the youth are holding up."

"You and Pastor Justin know each other?"

"Of course, he's an old friend."

"Wow." Lily said in surprise.

"You look beautiful when you do that."

Lily blushed.

"Do what?"

"When you have that look of surprise on your face. I like it."

"Thanks."

This was the beginning of a series of compliments which made her blush. Service finally began and it just got better. Even the way Andrew prayed was just awesome. He had knowledge of the scriptures and he wasn't uptight. He was fun and cool, very open to ideas and actually listened to what she had to say. Lily had found herself a soulmate.

Matthew didn't want to talk to Lily but he had to fix this. This man was stealing Lily from him and he wasn't going to let that happen. After service he went to meet Lily as soon as he could. He couldn't give that guy time to do more damage now could he?

"What do you think you're doing?" He asked her in anger.

"What do you mean?" She asked in annoyance.

"Shameless flirting with that good for nothing jerk, in church."

"Excuse me, you said what?"

"You heard me."

"Even if I was, what is it to you? Does it concern you?" Lily asked clearly provoked.

"I don't but we have a deal and if I win, you're supposed to date me. How can you do that if you're busy flaunting around with that...that thing."

"Is that how you think of him? That he is a thing? Wow. By the way, what I do now is none of your business. It only matters if you win the deal and that's a big if."

With this Lily walked away. Matthew was astounded. He made a mistake by sitting away from her. Who was that man anyway? Where did he come from? From how Lily acted around him, it seemed as if Lily already knew him. If Lily wasn't going to listen, he would make her. Time to run a background check on him.

Lily didn't get it but Matthew finally figured it out. He was jealous. It was in that moment that he realized something. Something he'd refused to acknowledge before. He was unwillingly falling for her. He had suppressed and tried to ignore the feelings. He had known her for two weeks but it was clear. Matthew was falling for Lily and there was nothing he could do about it.
