Epilogue

‘’And it’s done.” Rhys said as he put up the last balloon.

Lily and her friends were decorating the café for the grand opening. It had been a month since the whole kidnapping incident and Lily was feeling better. How could she not when Matthew had insisted that she see a therapist. She had to admit that it was helping even though she never thought she needed it. 
Matthew had gone a step further and paid for Andrew and Becca to go there too. There was a relief that came when they found her alive and well. Andrew being the most relieved. She couldn’t believe that Andrew's wedding was only a few weeks away. The whole ordeal had brought forward a lot of friends for Lily.

She looked at their work in awe. The place looked great. God had worked a miracle in finding the place. It was well situated than the one she had in mind before. This place was convenient for a lot of people. Of course it had taken a lot of cleaning and painting but it was finally ready.

The launch was the following day, a Saturday. In the evening there were having a launch party which was Lizzy’s idea obviously. The café would be open for business on Monday and she was nervous to say the least. Matthew however had assured her that they had taken every business precaution possible and she was headed for success.

“I got the lights.” Matthew who Lily hadn’t noticed said. He had gone out to buy a few lights for the outside but Lily didn’t notice his car when he came back.

‘’Great. Did you get the right ones?” Lily asked.

“Yep. Im gonna go ahead and hang them up.”

Lily watched as he skillfully put the lights in their right place. She couldn’t help but think about the success of her business. It had to work. She had put all her money into it. As if sensing her thoughts Matthew stood behind her.

“Stop thinking too much into this. You gonna be fine and this venture is gonna be successful.”

With his words so reassuring, Lily smiled. After all, God was still in control.

Lily looked around and she couldn’t help but to do an internal dance. Everyone was having fun and all was going well. The launch was turning out to be better than she had expected. The people were enjoying the food as well as the different kind of coffees she had put on the coffee stand. She knew the coffees she picked were good and that her chef was even better but she didn’t expect the hype that it had caused among the people.

“We have a little surprise for you.” Lizzy shouted as she tried to get her voice above the music.

“Okay what is it? You're making me nervous.” Lily answered wondering what it was.

“Over there.” Rachel pointed at the door.

Right then, the door opened and her brother Dylan walked in. Her mouth opened wide with shock. Her brother walked over to her and gave her one of his super big hugs.

“Didn’t think I’d miss my little sister's big break now did you?’’ Dylan said.

Lily could not believe it.

“I thought you had a show tonight.’’

“Yeah but I can miss one for my sister.”

“Thank you.” Was all she could managed to say.

“Speech, speech, speech” the crowd chanted.

Lily had no choice but to give the speech.

“Okay okay. I wanna thank God for this blessing. I want to thank my family and friends for the support and also my boyfriend Matthew. I love you baby. Lastly I wanna thank you beautiful people. For showing up. For the support. Yeah that’s all I gotta say. Why don’t we all go back to having fun and rocking this party.

The crowd clapped and cheered. Lily was grateful. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

       ★★★Three years later★★★

“I know youre marrying my son next week but there's something you have to know.” Matthews dad told her.

Lily wondered what it was.

“Okay…”

“My son wants 12 kids. One for each tribe of Israel.” he announced with pride.

“Nah not Matthew. He said he wanted two.” Lily defended him.

“Well ask him yourself.”

Lily took her phone and dialled his number.

“Baby?’’ he answered.

“Hey uhmm your dad says you want 12 children.”

“Actually I do.” Matthew confirmed.

“What??????!!!!!!!!!!”’ Lily screamed.
