Chapter 7

Something was wrong. I didn't know what was wrong but something was. I was nonstop tired and I was getting sick and the smell of certain things would make me sick. I took multiple pregnancy tests and all of them were negative and Andy didn't even know I was taking them or how I was feeling because I was scared.

I finally had Mel watch the kids while I went to the gynecologist because I needed to get a professional test done. It was making me nervous.

I was sitting on the chair and they were doing an exam and it was so awkward, I always hated them but andy loved being there and it made me miss him in a weird way and feel bad for not telling him. They ran a pregnancy test and used the ultrasound machine to see if I was pregnant and both were negative. I was definitely not pregnant and my doctor said it was probably just my body changing and said sometimes it was normal for hormones to make me act like that and it definitely made me feel a lot better about everything because I thought I was dying.

I pulled into the driveway a little later than I wanted to and andy of course happened to be getting out his car when I pulled up. Fuck. I got out my car and he chuckled and cocked an eyebrow at me.

"Where'd you go?" He asked as I went over to him and he kissed my forehead.

"The doctor." I said and he narrowed his eyes at me.

"Are you sick? You okay?" He asked.

"I went to the gynecologist to see if I was pregnant." I said and his eyes softened.

"Are you?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No. He said my hormones were probably causing me to act up and get sick and he said my body was probably changing and that it was normal. Thank god." I said and he kissed me softly.

"That's good then, right?" He asked and I nodded.

"Thanks for telling me truth on where you were sweetheart." He said.

"Why wouldn't I?" I asked.

"I'm not saying you wouldn't, I just know that probably made you nervous and that's probably why you didn't tell me in the first place-" he paused.

"Mel is watching the kids?" He asked motioning to her car and I nodded.

"You could have just called my mom." He said.

"She got it. It's fine. I didn't want your mom all in our business." I said and he nodded and grabbed my hand. He walked in the house and Skylar ran to us and hugged our legs.

"Hey kiddo." He smiled and Mel looked up at me worried.

"No. I'm not pregnant and I just told him." I said and she nodded.

"Oh thank god. I couldn't babysit another kid." She said and I laughed and she chuckled.

"So someone else was technically inside you today." He said and I laughed and so did he.

"Shut the hell up." I chuckled and playfully hit the back of his head and he laughed.

"How was your day?" I asked.

"Good. Same old." He said and he picked Sky up.

"Same old what?" I asked.

"Shit." He said and he kissed me.

"But I'm fine." He said and I nodded. Skylar kissed his cheek and he smiled at her.

"Thanks sweetheart." He said.

"You're welcome." She said and he chuckled.

"I was thinking I make dinner tonight. What are you in the mood for?" He asked.
