Chapter 12

I was laying in bed staring blankly at the ceiling. Andy called out of work and took a week off for me and I felt sick to my stomach. It completely broke my heart and made me feel like nothing.

Andy went downstairs to make the kids breakfast and I just stayed in bed and waited for him to come back. I was so god damn scared there were no words. I was dying and there was no stopping it. I turned on my side and it smelt like andys cologne and I felt an arm wrap around me and I smelt him even stronger.

"I made you breakfast." He said softly and I shook my head.

"I'm not hungry." I said into the pillow and he rubbed my shoulder.

"I don't care. Come on." He said pulling my shoulder back gently and I looked up at him and I had tears in my eyes.

"Andy just know I love you." I said and he nodded and cupped my cheek and kissed me.

"I love you too. I'll always know that." He said brushing his thumb across my cheek and I nodded.

"Now eat something." He said grabbing toast off a tray on the nightstand and he fed me it and I took a little bite. I really wasn't hungry.

"I don't want anything but thank you." I said.

"Jasmine don't make me shove this down your throat because I will." He said and I shook my head.

"Andrew I seriously don't have an appetite and if I eat any more than what I just did I'm going to throw up." I said and he nodded and put the bread on the tray and he wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on my chest.

"I want my crazy girl. I need you to at least get up out of bed." He said.

"Andy I don't want to do anything. My heart is broken and I'm dying. You honestly-"

"You aren't dying." He said and I didn't say anything.

"Jasmine you aren't. Do you hear me? I need you to get up and be yourself because if you let this bring you down it will. I need my girl to be positive and get up-" he paused.

"Skylar, Riley, Luke!" He called and I chuckled weakly.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Getting the kids. All three of those shitheads to come and get mommy cheered up." He smiled weakly and kissed my cheek before they all came running in one after another and andy picked sky up as Riley wrapped her arms around me and so did Luke. They had no clue I was sick and still gave me all the love in the world.

"Mommy daddy told us to ask you if you wanted to get ice cream." Riley said and andy chuckled.

"I told you to not say it was me. Thanks for blowing my cover." He said and I smiled weakly and pushed Luke's hair back. He had Andys hair thank god.

"Maybe. You'll have to give mommy a little to get up. Im a little tired today and I don't feel well." I said.

"What's wrong mommy?" Luke asked with his eyes softened and I shook my head.

"I'm just tired okay?" I asked and he nodded and kissed my cheek.

"I'm getting vanilla ice cream." He said getting up and running out the room and Riley followed and Skylar made him put her down so she could follow them.

"You're really going?" He asked sitting next to me.

"I'm going to have to. I don't want them to think im skipping out on them." I said.

"Can you eat some real food jas? I'm begging you. You're losing weight and when you start your medicine and everything you're going to lose more and you can't afford that. Just eat something I know you're scared and don't have an appetite but it's hard to watch you not eat my breakfasts I make you because you love them. Since day 1 you have. The first morning you woke up at my house you loved it. So come on." He said pulling me up in bed and he kissed my forehead.

"I know you still have that energy. Use it. Your treatments are going to drain you and you haven't even had them yet, but they'll make you better." He said and handed me the piece of toast I had already but into and I took a bite of it.

"I love you so much." I said.

"I love you too." He said putting the tray on my lap and he was feeding me and it was so cute.

"Well now I know why Skylar liked eating from you and not me as a baby." I said.

"Why's that?" He asked.

"Because you're good at force feeding." I said and he laughed and I chuckled weakly.

"What about surgery andy? Why can't they just get it out so I can be okay and live and see my kids graduate and love on their daddy?" I asked.

"You're going to see them graduate and you're going to love all over me. I'm dying before you that's a guarantee." He said.

"You aren't allowed to die before me. I can't live without you." I said.

"You'd get my money." He chuckled.

"I'm not with you for the money." I said and he fed me a bite from the omelette he made me and he nodded.

"I'm just saying you'd be set." He said.

"Andy-"

"If you died before me I would go crazy. Don't say that. You're going to be alive for a long time and so am I. Don't say that. You're like a damn cat with 9 lives." He said.

"What if this is my last?" I asked.

"It's not." He said and I didn't say anything.

"Jasmine it's not." He said as he fed me bacon.

"I don't want to die." I said.

"You're not going to." He said.

"Before we go get ice cream with the kids can you hold me for a little bit?" I asked.

"Of course sweetheart." He said and he put the tray on the nightstand and wrapped his arms around me. I closed my eyes and took in every feeling of his body touching mine. He rubbed my shoulder and I kissed his temple.

"I love my wife so much." He said.

"I love my husband with all my heart." I said and he kissed me softly. I ran my fingers through his hair and I could tell he was trying to make me feel better but I also could tell he was doing the same thing I was and concentrating on feeling everything in that moment. It broke my heart but I knew he would be okay if something happened to me. He would find someone that loved the kids and made him happy again.
