Chapter 21

The kids were at school and andy and I were high as could be making food. I literally felt like a teenager in high school all over again except I was with my best friend, my husband.

"Andy? Jasmine?" I heard Mel asked.

"In the kitchen." We called.

"Are you dressed?" She asked.

"Yes." We chuckled and she walked into the kitchen and we were eating Mac n cheese.

"Oh my god." She said and I chuckled.

"What?" I asked.

"You're high." She said.

"No we're not. That's illegal." He said and I smiled.

"You literally have weed on the counter and it smells like it in here-"

"Andrew!" I heard his mom scream and he jumped off the counter and grabbed it and put it in the cabinet and he looked over at me laughing at him.

"Are you fucking kidding me?! I can smell it!-" she paused and stopped yelling as she walked into the room and andy looked over at her.

"You're doing it in the house?!" She asked.

"Jasmine had it perscribed-"

"I don't care!" She said.

"Can you stop for christs sake? No one wants to hear your mouth right now." I said and she looked at me and andy looked over at me.

"Jasmine." He warned and I rolled my eyes and got off the counter and I walked out the kitchen. She pissed me the fuck off. His mom was so fucking annoying. Mel followed me and I sat down on the couch and she sat across from me.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

"I'm fine. I mean I'm dying but I can't feel it." I chuckled.

"You're not dying." She said and the house phone started ringing and he must have answered in the kitchen because he told his mom to stop and it was quiet. He walked out into the living room with it up to his ear and he sat next to me and he smiled weakly.

"Okay." He said.

"Thank you, bye." He said and he hung up and cupped my cheeks and clashed his lips to mine so fast I wasn't even expecting it. He smiled into the kiss and I put my hand on his chest.

"Babe." I said into it and he kissed me again harder.

"Andy." I said pulling away from him.

"Jas the doctor called." He said.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing. They want to do surgery. They said it could be risky but they also said if they can get most of it cleared out they can use chemo and radiation to get it shrunk easily." He said and my eyes softened. He smiled and I had tears in my eyes. I wrapped my arms around him so hard and I cried into his neck and he rubbed my back and buried his face into my neck.

"You're going to be okay." He said. I sat up and straddled him and I was crying so hard. Mel went over to me and held me as he held me and I was literally sobbing.

"Andy." I cried and he held me so tight against him and he kissed my cheek and tucked strands of hair behind my ear.

"You're okay." Mel said as she rubbed my back and he kissed my forehead.

"We have to tell the kids." He said and i nodded and kissed him as I cried and he smiled weakly into it.

"I love you." I cried.
