i still can't breathe
i can breathe
in the way we define breathing
but i don't need oxygen
i need something else
i don't know what
but i know i have to find it soon
i breathe in
stale, harsh air
fills my lungs
but i am drowning
in the air that is not right for me
i read books instead for now
breathing in the inked words
but it will not be enough
not forever
but this will suffice for now
