waking up
in a cold sweat
gasping for air
twisted bedsheets
nightmares are haunting me.
it's easy enough to wake up,
but what about
the nightmares
that don't come at night?
how do i wake up from those?
falling into another nightmare
in a cold sweat,
unable to stop.
gasping for air
in the fresh air
not able to breathe
despite the oxygen
in my lungs
how do you wake up?
twisted minds
how do i escape
trapped in my own head
nightmares
aren't always imaginary
sometimes they're real
