Ashton’s POV:
My mind wakes up before my body is ready. Far before. The sun from Lily’s window shines in, the blinds creating only little spots of light scattered all over her bed spread. When I turn onto my other side, my muscles scream & ache. Clenching my teeth, I hold Lily a bit tighter in an effort to drown the pain. She snuggles into my chest, still fast asleep & looking like an angel.
I only have one word for last night: incredible. I never expected anything like that. The way she looked below me, rolling her head in pleasure & moaning my name, was enough to drive me fucking insane. She’s all I’ve ever wanted, & so much more than I will ever deserve. She’s my little guardian angel, my saving grace. But at the same time, she’s my partner in crime, my little sidekick. She’s my best friend but my soul mate.
When I realize there’s no way my brain is going to fall back to sleep, I just sit with my eyes open, watching her sleep. She looks so peaceful. Granted, her hair is still disheveled from last nights adventures, but to me she looks like the shining sun. Little splotches of light cover her body, accenting her cheekbones & her curves perfectly. Eyelashes gently fan across the tops of her cheeks while her lips are a bright pink color. Her lips are flat & straight, but still have a sort of plumpness to them, once again showing a bit of a preview as to what happened last night.
In the middle of my adoration, Lily groans a bit & eases her eyes open. Her eyelids fight her, but she still manages to make the open & make herself look at me. Brown eyes look up at me, sunlight bouncing off them effortlessly & making them shine like the stars. When her eyes lock with mine, she offers a soft, groggy smile. I return the gesture & squeeze her a bit.
“Goodmorning Lily,” I whisper, lowering my head to kiss her nose lightly. I’m returned with a soft giggle, as she cuddles farther into my side & offers a bit of warmth.
“Goodmorning Ashton,” she replies, tracing lines into the skin of my bare chest.
We didn’t bother putting our clothes back on last night, because we were both exhausted & it was late. So we slept naked, but it didn’t bother us. Her body was immensely beautiful, something that should be admired all day, every day. My hands, which are resting on the small of her back, rubs tiny shapes into the soft skin. We lay there, not wanting to accept that our heavenly night is over. But, soon enough, I remember that I turned my phone off last night, in an effort to block out the world & focus on my girlfriend. Luke said he’d give me more information about the Open Mike Friday’s, so I decide its best to fetch my phone from my pants & turn it on.
“I’m gonna get my phone, Luke said he was gonna text me about something,” I mutter to Lily, kissing her forehead before rising from the covers. The cold hits me immediately, causing me to hesitate a bit before going over to my pants lying on the floor & getting my phone from my pocket. Once I get it, I walk back over to lay back down next to her.
“What was he gonna text you about?” she asks, her groggy morning voice still ever present. I chuckle lightly before explaining to her Luke’s offer to sing with him on Friday nights. When I finish the story, her eyes get wide & she smiles big.
“Y-You can sing? I didn’t know that,” she mumbles, obviously surprised.
“Well I mean, I guess. That’s what Luke said anyways. I love doing it but I never knew, nor really cared if I was good or not. I’m just excited for the money, frankly,” I laugh. She laughs along, continuing to trace lines into the skin on my chest.
“Well, maybe I’ll have to invite Ainsley to come watch you two sometime,” she smiles, earning one out of me. I kiss her lightly, & go back to my phone.
