Kylie sat down on the kitchen counter, contemplating how life has played such a twisted game with her.
She can't remember the last time she had a genuine smile on her face. Tired of faking her happiness, she often wonders if she'll ever find someone who will love and accept her for who she truly is. Will he come from a small kingdom, riding a horse, and give her the happily ever after she dreams of? Well, one thing's for sure, her imagination sure knows how to make her burst into fits of laughter!

Before she could think any further, her manager called out to her. She was about to respond, but then she realized her boss was already standing in front of her, giving her a stern look.

"I'm so sorry, I was just about to..."

"In my office now," he interrupted her before she could finish her sentence.

Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time he had treated her this way. She wasn't happy working at 'Elite cafe' since most of the staff weren't very kind to her, probably because they had degrees and she didn't. But she didn't really have a choice. She needed the job to take care of herself and pay her bills.

She followed him into the office, gently closing the door behind her.

"Have a seat, Ms. Kylie," he said. She smiled at his gesture.

"Do you know why I called you in here?" he asked sternly.

"No, Mr. Edward, why?" she replied.

"I don't have a better way to say this, but I have no choice than to let you go. It was great working with you, Kylie. You're fired."

Kylie couldn't believe what she just heard. She felt devastated and powerless. Words can indeed be more hurtful than a sword. The power of speech can shatter even the strongest of souls. Tears streamed down her face as she silently left his office.

"Kylie," he called out. She paused, eager to hear what he had to say.

"I'm truly sorry. I promise that everything will work out for you. You're a genuinely kind person."

"Th-thank you," she replied, wiping away her tears.

She continued walking, unsure of her destination.

Ryan P.O.V

What did you find out? I hope you have good news this time.
Yes sir, "According to the report, Kylie Williams' parents passed away last year. She's currently working with  'Elite cafe' and she lives in 'Cross Hill,' which we both know is not a good place to stay."

Ryan remained silent for a few minutes before finally speaking. "You can't even do a proper job, Jack. It took you three days to find such useless information." He slammed his desk in frustration.

"I'm sorry, Sir, I t-try t-"

"Find her address," Ryan interrupted him.

"Okay, Sir," Jack nodded.

"Jack, I want the address by tomorrow, or else kiss your job goodbye." Ryan dismissed him before Jack could respond. "You can leave now. I'll see you tomorrow," he said, smirking.

Jack nodded and walked out.

"I promise to make you pay for what you did to my sister, Kylie. I will ensure you experience the pain you've never felt in your entire life. All the loneliness I felt for those two years will be nothing compared to what I will do to you, Kylie."

"Kylie, who was wandering aimlessly, heard a car honking but ignored it. The sound grew louder, and she turned to see what was happening. That's when she spotted a black Range Rover approaching her. She tried to scream out of fear but couldn't due to her overwhelming terror. The driver did their best to avoid getting closer, but it was already too late.

In a matter of seconds, darkness engulfed everything. The pain she experienced was unimaginable, and if someone had told her she would survive, she wouldn't have believed it. The pain intensified to the point where she longed for release and peace. Moreover, she felt she had nothing left to offer anyone."
