chapter 10

I felt a gentle touch, and as I opened my eyes, I saw an elderly woman with gray hair staring at me intently, sending shivers down my spine.

"W...who are y...you? And where am I?!" I stammered, feeling disoriented.

"You and Master came back home an hour ago. I noticed you were still in the car, so I thought it would be kind to check on you," the old woman explained.

"Since you're the master's bride, I woke you up to let you know. He seems to be in a really bad mood," she added, her concern evident in her voice.

Trying to change the subject, I introduced myself. "I'm Kylie," I said with a yawn, my voice heavy with exhaustion. "Could you please take me to my bedroom? I'm really tired and in desperate need of rest."

"Yes, let's go inside, child," the old woman kindly said.

Thank you so much, ma'am. I appreciate your help in getting out of the car. It's comforting to find someone nice in this mansion.

As we entered, I couldn't help but pause in awe at the breathtaking furniture and artwork. This mansion was unlike anything I had ever seen before. It felt like a paradise on earth. Lost in admiration, I was brought back to reality by the old woman's voice.

"Follow me, child. You need to rest."

I obediently followed her upstairs. She pointed to a room on the left, which she informed me was my husband's room. With a calm tone, she assured me that the master was likely in the library and advised me to rest, considering the long day I had experienced.

"Thank you so much, ma'am," I expressed my gratitude sincerely.

When I entered the room, I was too exhausted to look around, so I simply collapsed on the couch and closed my eyes.

Ryan entered the room and headed straight to the bathroom to take a bath. When he came out, he was surprised to find Kylie sleeping on the couch in his room. He felt angered by her audacity to enter without his permission and harshly tapped her on the shoulder. Kylie woke up, visibly scared, and looked up to see Ryan's angry gaze.

"You've been testing my patience all this time. I've been waiting for the right moment to react," he said with frustration.

In a sleepy voice, Kylie pleaded, "I'm so sorry please, I'll leave the room.

When you took the life of my sister Violet, what were you even thinking? Did you consider the pain her family would endure? He asked, moving closer to her.

"I've realized my mistake, please forgive me and give me a chance to earn your trust. I was so terrified of Ryan that I accepted the blame, desperately trying to escape from him," she pleaded.

You deserve the hatred and punishment, Kylie. I will make sure to ruin your life in a way that will make you wish you were dead. And once I'm done, I'll send your confession to the police so you can spend the rest of your life in jail," he said aggressively.

He advanced towards her, but she quickly moved back.

"Stop right there! Don't you dare take another step without my permission."

Kylie stood frozen in fear, her body drenched in sweat, unable to anticipate what would unfold next. Ryan menacingly gripped her wrist, his sharp nails grazing her skin.

"Suddenly, intense pain shot through her wrist, causing tears to well up in her eyes. Blood began to trickle. Before she could push him away, he released her hand and tightly gripped her waist. She was unable to scream as he forcefully covered her mouth. Eventually, he let go and yanked her hair, causing her to cry out."

"Take your clothes off." Ryan instructed
"W-What?" She was confuse and terrific at the same time
"Take your Clothes Off."

I looked up, startled by his words. They were direct and stern, piercing my heart. Despite the pain, I found myself obediently removing my clothes for him.

"You'll face even more tonight if you scream," he warned, throwing me forcefully onto the bed.

My tears only seemed to fuel his cruelty and anger."
