Then his blue eyes met mine, and his gaze made me feel like I was drowning in them. Damn, this guy is seriously attractive! I looked at his face again and suddenly it hit me - he kinda reminds me of someone... No way! It's impossible, they don't even have the same last name. OMG! Just then, I remembered that Violet's last name is 'Carter'.
He cleared his throat, snapping me out of my trance. I felt so embarrassed, as he caught me staring at him like that. "Have a seat," he said in a cold tone.
Damn this man is really cold. "Let's get down to business, we don't have time to waste, do we?" "No," I replied, looking down."Shall we?" Jack nodded, and I could tell he had already briefed you on the basics, so there's not much for me to add. I mentioned the model we need for the commercial and the upcoming photoshoot for the telecommunication company. However, that's not really relevant to our meeting since it's not something you can relate to." He glanced at me with anger in his eyes.
What's his deal? This guy seriously has an attitude problem. His gaze shifted to Jack, and he said, "I need a moment alone with Ms. William." Jack nodded and left. I started to feel nervous being alone with him.
"What do we need to discuss, sir?" I asked politely cause at this point, the only thing I want is to leave this place.
He got up from his seat and walked slowly towards me, his eyes fixed on me. "Unfortunately, we have to change the contract, Ms. William, as you're not suitable for the commercial," he said without a care. I tried to hold back my tears and looked down. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have come if I knew that."
"Why do you think you can walk freely after what you did?" he said, anger in his eyes.
"W-what are you talking about?" she stammered.
"Ms. William. I see, you have so much freedom that you forget about the terrible thing you've done. But don't worry, that won't last. Once you find yourself in jail, you'll feel guilty for the rest of your life. That's the only way you'll understand the pain I've endured for the past two years."
She looked at him, shocked. "And what did I do so wrong to deserve jail? I didn't harm anyone," she said, tears welling up. "Sir, we don't even know each other. You must be mistaking me for someone else." He slammed his hand on the table, furious. "When you killed my sister, Violet, what were you thinking?!"
She felt a surge of panic, her hands trembling uncontrollably. The realization of what happened to Violet hit her like a ton of bricks, leaving her gasping for air. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to come to terms with the haunting memories that resurfaced, overwhelming her once again. It seemed like no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't escape the pain and guilt that consumed her. It seemed as though she could never truly escape the past.
He clenched his fists, his anger boiling over. "How could you forget what you did to Violet?!" he shouted, his voice filled with rage and pain. The intensity of his reaction sent chills down her spine, as she realized the depth of his grief and the impact her actions had on his life.
She was about to speak, but the weight of his words hung heavy in the air, leaving her speechless and overwhelmed with guilt.
"You'll pay for this, Kylie," he said, seething with anger. His face turned red with fury as he exclaimed, "Do you really think you can just forget about what happened to Violet?!" His voice trembled with a mix of anger and sadness.
