"Don't worry, milady. Ryan may seem difficult, but deep down, he's a good-hearted gentleman, especially considering the loss of his sister." Liam's smile faded into a frown as he mentioned her sister's death. "Trust me, things will work out."
Kylie couldn't help but wonder if Liam knew about the situation between her and Ryan. She suspected that Ryan might have confided in Liam, given their close relationship.
Lost in her thoughts, Kylie suddenly felt an arm wrap around her waist. She looked up, surprised to see Ryan standing next to her, his expression even more displeased than before.
"Mind if I borrow my wife, Liam?" Ryan's tone was sharp and curt.
Liam furrowed his eyebrows and shook his head. "Not at all."
Before Kylie could say anything, Ryan practically dragged her out of the room. He tightly grasped her wrist and forcefully pulled her towards the kitchen. Kylie felt a wave of unease wash over her. It was clear that Ryan wasn't just displeased; he was beyond furious.
"OUT," Ryan snapped at the servants in the kitchen, who quickly scurried out of the room. Once they were alone, Ryan spun Kylie around and forcefully pushed her against the kitchen counter, slamming his hands on either side of her. Kylie flinched at the anger in his gaze, wondering what had gone wrong this time.
Ryan's face was dangerously close to Kylie's, barely an inch away. His eyes narrowed at her, demanding an explanation. "What the hell was that?"
Trembling, Kylie tried to regain control of her body as she stammered, "W-what was what?!"
"Don't give me that," Ryan hissed, pushing her even further against the counter. The cold marble dug into her lower back, causing her to bite back tears. "If you dare bring Liam into this sorry excuse of a marriage, I will strip you of everything you own and degrade you like your whore mother!"
Amidst her tears, Kylie pleaded, "I-I didn't, Ryan. He was only suggesting honeymoon spots. I promise I didn't tell him anything. Please forgive me for making you mad. I didn't mean to."
A flicker of guilt briefly crossed Ryan's gaze, but it quickly vanished, replaced by a sneer on his lips. "Honeymoon spots, Kylie?! Do you really think I would take a woman like you on a honeymoon? You mean nothing to me. Nothing. Once I'm satisfied that you've suffered enough, I will divorce you and ensure you face the consequences you deserve." Ryan's voice dripped with hatred and loathing.
Kylie lowered her head, struggling to suppress her heart-wrenching sobs. Ryan's blindness was evident.
Content with his warning, Ryan took a step back. "Don't ever talk to Liam again. In fact, get out of my sight. I don't want to see you for the rest of the day."
Kylie's heart sank as Ryan's words pierced through her already shattered emotions. She felt a mix of fear, sadness, and confusion. She couldn't help but wonder how their relationship had reached such a painful and toxic state. Tears streamed down her face as she silently complied with Ryan's demand, slowly making her way out of his sight.
RYAN P.O.V
Ryan's anger consumed him as he watched Kylie's tear-streaked face. He believed she deserved every ounce of suffering for betraying his trust. The satisfaction of asserting his dominance over her gave him a twisted sense of power. He reveled in the control he held, relishing the thought of her eventual downfall.Don't forget to vote and comment.
