Chapter 4: Meetings

 I turn to Andy and he shares a faint smile. ‘You want a lift?’ he kindly offers.

‘Yes please, that would be great.’.

‘Where to?’ I can’t go to the wedding, my dress is ruined, my hair is a mess, my make-up is smudged. I can’t go back to mine because it’s too far away and I can’t expect him to drive that far.

‘I can’t go back to mine or to the wedding…’ I say looking down.

‘Oh, well would you like to clean up at my house?’ he asks thoughtfully.

‘Yes if I could, that would be lovely thank you’ I reply.

He drives me to his house; which for the record is bloody huge! I walk in the door with him only for three amazingly beautiful guys to stare up at me while sitting on the sofa. I smile shyly at them all.

‘Hey guys this is Beth, she’s been in a bit of an accident.’ Andy tells them.

‘It’s ok, that happens to me all the time. I just can’t get to the toilet quick enough. I have the bladder of a kitten.’ One of the boys says on the sofa. He’s the shortest of the boys; and yes I can tell from them all sitting down.

‘Not that kind of accident, Adam’ Andy’s quick to say.

‘Then what sort of accident then?’ another one of the boys says but not Adam.

‘Beth drove into a river by accident.’ He tells them.

I look down ashamed; after all I brought it on myself by not concentrating on the road like a good driver would. I guess I just got so worked up about my parent’s deaths.

‘Oh sh*t, that doesn’t sound good’ the guy replies who asked what happened.

‘It wasn’t, trust me’ I say.

Andy introduces me to them all. Adam, Ryan and Joel. They are all so attractive and lovely! They sit me down and get me a drink and make sure I’m ok. Maybe not dying wasn’t so bad at all.
