Chapter 10: Plans Going Wrong

 (Andy’s POV)

 As me and Beth dance to the upbeat song, we stare into each other’s eyes while laughing happily. This is going perfectly.

All of a sudden, Ryan crashes into Beth and they both topple over. Ryan is practically laying on top of her. I prepare for the flirtatious laughs but all I see is Beth violently push Ryan off her and storm out the club. I look at Ryan fuming.

‘What did you do that for!’ I scream at him.

‘I think I’ve had a bit too much to drink’ he says.

‘Or you’re just trying to ruin my plans with Beth’ I accuse him.

‘Oh yeah and what exactly are those plans?’ Ryan crosses his arms and waits for my reply.

‘I don’t need to explain any part of my love life to you thank you very much’.

‘Ok then, don’t.’.

‘I won’t’.

‘Good’

‘Good’

‘Fine’

‘Fine!’

Ryan storms out the club and I presume he is heading for Beth. What’s the point in trying anyway? Ryan always wins with the ladies anyway.

 (Ryan’s POV)

 I manage to find Beth perched on a wall with her head in her hands sobbing. What did I do that was so bad? I just have a bad aim when it comes to lobbing myself at people. I was aiming for Andy, not her.

I place an arm round Beth and attempt to comfort her but she throws my arm off her.

‘Look I’m so sorry for crashing into you like that, I’ve had a bit to drink. Why are you getting so upset?’ I look at her and she looks up at me.

‘Because you laying on top of me brought back horrible memories I was trying to forget’ she tried to say through her tears.

‘What sort of memories?’ and that’s when it hit me.

‘I was raped…’ I apologise repeatedly.

‘It’s ok it’s not your fault you didn’t know’ she says.

I attempt to put my arm round her again to stroke her back and this time she allows me to. She looks me straight in the eyes and she’s the one to lean in and kiss me! I happily let her.
