Chapter 9: Mahiki

 (Ryan’s POV)

 As soon as we step into the club I pull Beth’s hand and lead her as far away from the crew as possible so Andy can’t find us. I lead her to a wall that we both lean on to talk.

‘What do you think you’re doing?’ Beth says.

‘Sorry I just want to tell to something.’ I say innocently.

‘And you couldn’t tell me in front of the rest of the crew?’.

‘What I want to tell you is that I really like you and I want to get to know you better.’. I say quickly to get it out my system. That isn’t how I want to say it, my head has a completely ruder version that’s probably best not to repeat.

‘Really?’ she says as if she’s shocked.

‘Well yeah…’ I look down, disappointed at her response.

Then I feel her breath on my ear as she whispers ‘Come on let’s go get some drinks and see how this night turns out’.

What’s that supposed to mean? She drags me to the bar by my hand to meet back up with the crew and we all order shots.

 (Beth’s POV)

We down it all in one then order separate bigger drinks to keep to ourselves. We go to a table and talk and get to know each other more. I sit in-between Andy and Ryan which is now super awkward. Andy doesn’t know how Ryan feels otherwise he would have expressed his feelings in-front of Andy. And I’m glad he didn’t.

 (Amy’s POV)

I can’t help but stare at Joel. He’s amazing, funny, kind, thoughtful and good looking. I should ask Beth tonight if she could set me up with him. Although it looks like she has her own problems. I say this because under the table I can see both Andy’s hand and Ryan’s hand dying to hold one of Beth’s. If only I were sitting next to Joel. But I don’t mind being opposite him to stare at him.

 (Adam’s POV)

 Abbie is amazing. Beth was right. It isn’t just about the looks. She’s stunning don’t get me wrong but she’s so funny! She shares my sense of humour so much and she’s kind and thoughtful! She’s generally my type! I have to get her know her more.

 (Abbie’s POV)

My god is Joel perfect or what! It looks as if Amy is more interested in Adam so I’m gunna start flirting with Joel and see how it goes.

 (Joel’s POV)

Abbie is hilarious! She shares the same humour as Adam and I love Adam’s humour! Me and her are perfect for each other!

 (Andy’s POV)

‘You wanna go up and dance, Beth?’ I say.

‘No way dancing is not my thing’. Beth says quickly.

‘You do dance class every Wednesday!’ Amy blurts out.

Beth looks at her with narrow eyes and Amy sinks down in her chair.

‘Oh yeah Amy, thanks VERY much for the reminder.

Beth stand up and takes my hand as I lead her to the dance floor. This is it.

 (Ryan’s POV)

Andy’s gunna try something with Beth I JUST know it! I have to do something quickly before he does… I could ‘accidently’ bump into him from too many drinks? Yeah that sounds good. Here I go.
