Aditya was channel surfing on TV when Anjali finally walked in the room for the night. He had been waiting for her for past hour and half, fighting fatigue and boredom. He had been forbidden to use the laptop, of course, by her, and his phone was also taken away. He was ordered to rest by her and his mom who had stopped by earlier to check on him.
Anjali turned to close the door and lock it, and then turned towards him and frowned at him, but he ignored her look. Uh oh, she thought to herself, he looked mad. "Why are you still up? You should be resting." He gave her a smoldering look and went back to channel surfing.
She decided to leave him alone for the time being. She took out her nightclothes and went in the bathroom to change. When she came out, his hand paused on the remote, when he noticed she was wearing his favorite green nightgown instead of her usual simple sari. When she noticed him looking at her she smiled, but he looked away.
He pretended to ignore her and continued to change the channel on the TV, but his whole attention was on her and what she was doing. He watched as she removed her jewelry, then apply some cream to her freshly scrubbed face. Without any make up she looked twenty instead of twenty-four.
Anjali glanced at him from the corner of her eye and smiled. She knew he was mad because she took too long to come up, when she had promised him she wouldn't take too long. She had tried, but the family members all wanted something or other after dinner, then Maa and auntie had wanted to talk about the Janmasthami celebrations. She got up from the chair and went and stood beside him. She took the remote out of his hand to turn the TV off. He glared at her before turning away from her. She went to the other side of the bed got under the covers to wait for him to say something. She looked over to see his eyes closed. She realized he is not going to say anything so she moved closer to him, she knew exactly how to get his attention.
She just stared at his handsome face for few moments. She can feel her heart pounding at the thought of touching him as she pleased. Should she? She brought her face close to his, leaned in closer and touched her cheek to his stubble cheek, rubbing back and forth. She moved back a fraction and gave him a small kiss on his cheek. When she made to move back his left arm snaked around her to pull her hard against him, at the same time he moved on his back so she was half on the bed and half sprawled over him.
Aditya had pretended to be unaware of her, but was alert for her every move. He had purposely stayed silent to see if she would speak to him. In the past few days, he had been the one to make the first move towards her. While she hadn't rejected him, she hadn't been welcoming either. She had known what she felt for him, but hid from those feeling and kept her distance. When she ran to the hospital earlier that evening, she had basically told him how she felt about him, yet he still wanted her to be the first to come to him tonight.
He moved her hair from her face and gave her a disapproving look. "You made me wait for over an hour, then put on my favorite nightgown when I am injured and can't do anything about it, and all I get is a kiss on the cheek? I don't think so."
Anjali smiled at him, but was unable to hold his gaze for long and looked away shyly. She had never done anything like that before, so she wasn't sure how to respond to his teasing. He turned again so now she was on her back, he rested his right arm on the bed, brought his left arm out from under her. She looked at him in concern, "What are you doing? You are going to hurt your arm." She tried to move him back but he wouldn't budge.
He placed his finger on her soft lips. "Shh.....don't say anything, I am fine, my arm is not hurting, and you still owe me for making me wait and for wearing this nightgown tonight. Now be quiet while I collect my reward for being good." She flushed at his sensual look.
