"This is cute, right?"

"Mhm."

"Could you put that Cinnabon down please and look?"

I raise my gaze to Annalise, who was currently wearing an olive green dress that complimented her skin tone and blonde hair well. Swallowing my bite of dessert, I voice my thoughts to her.

"You look amazing. This is definitely the one."

We had been in the store for the whole morning, leaving once for me to get a snack before coming straight back over to find an outfit for Annalise's date night with Jonah. She seemed beyond ecstatic for the sun to finally set, and thought that none of her dresses were worthy of the dinner she would be sharing with the tour guide.

"But doesn't it make me look like I have curves?" She asks, mentally judging herself as she looks at the dressing room mirror.

"Um, yeah, in all the right places."

Anna runs her hands down the dress and turns around to get a view of the back, then taking a deep breath and staying silent.

"It's your choice. If you don't like it, don't get it. But I would choose fast, it's already three and you still need to do hair and makeup before he picks you up."

At the mentioning of the time, my friend's eyes widen, and she nods her head in agreement, glancing at the mirror one last time before telling me that this is the dress she would be picking.

I look down at my phone while she undresses, and grow a small grin when I see that I have a message from Shawn.

pick you up at 9?

As Annalise puts on her jean jacket, I respond, agreeing to the time.

see you then :)

Before I lock my phone, a message pops up, and although I expected it to be from Shawn again, I was proven wrong when Jen's contact name shows up.

bitch, do I have some juicy gossip 2 tell u.

OMG, ALSO, TELL ME HOW TONIGHT IS WITH UR ROMEO ;)

I roll my eyes at her texts, although it only makes me miss her company even more.

super excited for that gossip, I'll call u @ 6. how's london???

I ignore the remark on my "Romeo" purposefully, since I would technically be confirming it if I did answer to it. Although Shawn was a great person, it was practically a miracle itself that I had seen him in Spain and here in France. When the week ended I would be moving on to my next destination, and I'm pretty sure that Shawn would be leaving tomorrow night, hence us visiting the Eiffel Tower tonight. Adding the factor that Shawn and I haven't even done anything remotely romantic with each other, he was not my Romeo. However, I had no doubt he could introduce me to my Romeo, with all of his connections.

so good. Will is still so hot, you need to see him yourself.

and plz, if u guys slept together, he's ur Romeo.

I was already regretting telling her about that night, and in the back of my head, I expected at least one of these jokes.

hahahahahahahhahaha im blocking you.

"Ready?" I look up to see Annalise standing, the dress in her hand, and I get up from the seat, both of us exiting the dressing room and walking over to the cashier.

Moments later we're in Annalise's black Subaru, and on our way to her apartment. She insisted on me doing her makeup for the night, because apparently, she found my eyeshadow blending "inspiring" when I did my makeup one day in my sophomore year and sent her a picture.

I wasn't one for applying the winged eyeliner everyday before leaving the house, mainly because I was the laziest person out there in the morning. But every once in a while (usually when I didn't have plans) I would put on a full face of makeup, just for me and whoever I sent my selfies to. While my full face would include eyeshadow, eyeliner, and contouring, I wouldn't leave the house with any of that on. It just wasn't my kind of thing.

However, it was totally Annalise's kind of thing, because she was almost on her knees, begging me to do her makeup before she left for dinner. Me being the wonderful and humble person I am, I agreed, and as we drove, she began to tell me all about the look she was going for.

When we reached her apartment, I raised my eyebrows at her room, not expecting her to have the amount of makeup that she did. Her countertop was completely covered in it, and I felt like I was in beauty guru heaven, taking it all in.

"Okay, he'll be here in two hours." Annalise informs me, and I take another bite of the Cinnabon that was still in my hands as I wait for her to return from the bathroom.

When she comes back, her dress is on, and she walks over, taking a seat by her white counter and patting the seat across from her, signaling me to sit down. I do, and place my snack on the counter, in the one spot that was empty of makeup products. Then, I begin, and about an hour later, Annalise is gawking at her reflection, her eyes brimming with tears.

"Nora, thank you so much!" She says sincerely, and I laugh.

"It's just makeup, Anna."

"I look like Aphrodite!" She exclaims, smiling widely before taking her hair out of it's bun and getting up to grab her hair straightener.

Time passes as we talk while she gets ready, and before either of us know it, we hear a knock on her door, and she inhales sharply.

"Okay, okay. I'm alright. I'm fine." She gives herself a mini pep talk, and I smile at how she was acting, before she gives me a hug and puts on her other shoe.

"Thank you, I'll see you tonight!" She says, and I wave her off, walking into a different room before she opens the door.

"H- woah. You look amazing." I hear, and smile, imagining the facial expression Annalise must be wearing after hearing that compliment.

"Um, yes. I mean, you too!"

Their voices slowly fade out as the door shuts, and I walk over to Annalise's room in the now empty apartment, reaching for my phone and noticing that I was 6:04. Remembering what I said to Jen, I call her, waiting for her to pick up.

"Bitch, I know I said I had gossip, but this might be the cherry on top of all gossip out there."
