Sirius and James were almost flying down the corridor they are going so fast. The children were oohing and gasping as they recognised Sirius and James, prank legends from a few years back.

"But you can't apparate in Hogwarts!" One was saying.

"Mr Sirius!" One of the first years shouted. It was Jordan. He came running up, broom in hand.

"Jordan, not right now." Sirius muttered, carrying on the fast pace.

"Have you kissed him yet?" Jordan asked excitedly.

"Kissed who?" James asked, amused.

"Mr Remus of course. They are in love, Alexia worked it out. Mr Sirius, have you kissed him yet?" Jordan pressed. James chuckled lightly, but Sirius' eyes were dark.

"I AM NOT IN LOVE WITH REMUS!" He shouted to Jordan angrily. Everyone stopped and stared. Sirius looked down and pushed past all the students, holding back a wave of tears he knew shouldn't come. James looked at Jordan, who was shocked and sorry.

"I didn't know he was going to shout." Jordan whispered to James.

"I know, kid. I'm sorry, Mr Sirius is just a bit stressed right now, he has a lot going on, okay. Bye, kid!" James started to follow Sirius."

"I'm Jordan!" Jordan told him just before he shot off.

James caught up with angry Sirius. He was fuming, shaking his head and clenching his fists.

"Can't believe that kid, accusing me of..." He muttered.

"I know, mate." By now James and Sirius were practically by the Black Lake.

Sirius turned to James, hands raised and eyes wild.

"WHY DOESN'T HE GET IT? Huh? Explain that! He doesn't get it, and I'm left here having to think all the time and he's lost his memory, and we were actually getting somewhere and now it's never going to be the same because of what happened and what he is going to believe happened and why can't he just realise, James, why won't he think?" Sirius collapsed on the ground, sobbing.

"I know, mate, I know." James comforted, but it didn't work.

"NO, YOU DON'T! LILY DIDNT LOSE HER FREAKING MEMORY DID SHE? HUH? YOU HAVE NO IDEA, NO IDEA...no idea....no idea what it is like." Sirius muttered the same words over again and again, "No idea."

James and Sirius sat in silence because James couldn't come back to that. There was no other soul there - all the students were in classes, the prying young eyes hidden away in a classroom while Sirius poured out his soul. James watched his best friend closely, wondering what could be done...what on earth could help this poor, poor man. Remus just...just didn't get it. He was so oblivious, quite fitting in the circumstances. Obliviate, Oblivious.

He remembered how it had been, before the memory charm had been cast, before Remus was doomed into losing a life worth of memories. Sirius had been so...so happy, happier even than when he left home.

James was worried about Sirius - he seemed to be going crazy having to bottle everything up. He was rocking backwards and forwards shaking his head now, not making any coherent sense.

Eventually Sirius stopped shaking and fell asleep. James was stuck - he didn't want to sit thinking about this. He got up and he walked to the Transfiguration class room. Mc Gonagall looked up as James entered the room.

"Mr Potter! But...you aren't a student anymore!" She exclaimed. All eyes turned to the new entrance.

"Hello, Minnie. It's Remus we are here for...you know what I mean." James cast a dark look towards the ceiling.
