"The Potion will bring your memories back, restore you to your former wizard self. It is a very complex Potion made of difficult ingredients, and Severus is going to show you how to make it, demonstrate, and then-"

"Then I can take it and return to normal? Why do I need to be there? Can he just give it to me and I can have it?" Remus asked.

"No...you see...that's not how this particular Potion works. The only way your memories can come back is if you...if you make the potion. You will have to stay in this state for some basic potions lessons from Severus, then he will demonstrate the potion and then you will copy."

"I have to brew a potion...myself?" Remus was shocked at this new knowledge.

"Yes. And we have to make it here, after school hours of course. We can't have you learning with the first years, they might find out you lost your memory and we are trying to keep it hush-hush."

"So I'll just come back to Hogwarts every day and then go back. Okay." Remus nodded.

"Oh no. It will be easier and more pleasant if you stay here, then you can oversee lessons and learn things about the castle while your memory has gone. You can stay with a few others in a room, like a dorm, but a guest room, in a sense. It is technically called the Room of Requirement and Mr Black and Mr Potter know where it resides." Dumbledore smiled.

Remus nodded slowly, beginning to understand.

"Can Sirius and James stay here? They can help with lessons and teach me..." Remus suggested.

"Of course Mr Black and Mr Potter can stay, if that is what you wish. Would you like a lemon sherbet, Mr Lupin?"

"Call me Remus please, Mr Lupin makes me feel like a teacher again."

"Well, once you regain your memories again, Remus, we would be happy to have you as a teacher here at Hogwarts. Sherbet Lemon?"

"Yes please."

They sat in silence for a while, not knowing what to say.

"I do love muggle sweets. The muggle world is quite fascinating, do you agree?" Dumbledore peered at Remus.

"I can't say so, I believe that this world is a lot more interesting. My whole life, my fabricated life, seems to have been dull, there definitely was something missing, the lack of James and Sirius caused a gap of childishness in my life, which must have been why I was a teacher, to teach small children in hope of replacing James and Sirius." Remus chuckled.

"I don't think Sirius could've held out any longer, I'm afraid. Mr Potter tried to stop him, but he just couldn't resist. Quite a drama queen, I remember, I heard that he made the whole muggle school have a lockdown?"

"Yes, indeed."

"Leather jacket and dark look, I imagine. I heard they involved the police?"

"Yes. The police confiscated his wand, too."

"He didn't like that, I guess."

"Oh no, he got all nervous and mentioned James and then made them confirm that they were indeed the police and not some random guys. Honestly, if the school had spoken to him before the lockdown, there never would have been any lockdown. Sirius is just a grown-up child. He still acts like a primary school child at times."

"He has it hard though, at home, Mr Lupin. His parents and brother detest him for who he is. He has informed me that they beat him. I would attempt to stop it but Sirius refuses to let me step in, worried I'll just get hurt. He does the same if either you or James try. I think even once James' Dad attempted, and Sirius broke down in tears. He is in a bad mental place but still puts on a happy face."

"I know, it truly amazes me. Sirius is literally amazing. I don't think I could have that, deal with being so alone at a young age. It really is a good thing he has James and I."

"I fear that without Mr Potter and you, Sirius would be an emotional wreck." Dumbledore said gravely.

"Oh no, Albus. It would get worse than that. Sirius was abused, physically and mentally. He moved out in 6th year, to James' place, he told me. If he had stayed with Mr and Mrs Black, he might not be living today." Remus replied.

"Death by his parents or..."

"Oh, either option, Albus."

"Well, its good to see that you are here, happy and being Remus." Dumbledore smiled.

"Well of course," Remus was bewildered, "Why wouldn't I be?"

"You got in a pretty bad place...the werewolf thing...but it doesn't matter, you are good now."

"The werewolf thing...when is the next full moon?"

"I'm afraid to say that it's in a couple of days."

"What day? Then I can keep track of time."

"Thursday. It's Sunday now, so we can work with that."

Suddenly James burst in through the doors.

"Hello, Mr Potter."

"Hello Professor."

"I assume you would like Remus?"

"Yes please, if you don't mind."

"Where's Sirius?" Remus asked cautiously.

"I sent him home...ahead. He was...tired."

"And did you do anything else?" Dumbledore raised an eye.

"It was a little...demonstration...for Minnie...." James looked down.

"What did you do?" Remus sighed.

"Nothing too...traumatic, Moony."

"James..."

"It was nothing, Moony."

And suddenly there was another person in the room. Minnie had come rushing in, not noticing Remus or James.

"Albus! Mr Potter just turned into a stag! Sirius, Peter and James all became animagi! To help Remus! Did you know, Albus? Did you help them? 3 Unregistered animagi...how did I not notice?" Minnie stopped her rant and came to her senses, her eyes landing on Remus.

"Hello, Minerva. I was not informed of the animagi, actually. How...interesting." Dumbledore's eyes flickered to James who looked down at the floor.

"Oh...sorry. Umm...I'll come back later."

"No, no. You stay, We're just going back home."

"I expect you back here tomorrow, Remus." Dumbledore said cooly.

"Wait what?" James frowned.

"I am staying here....and you and Sirius is you like? You can help me, and teach classes maybe..." Remus trailed off.

James was ecstatic, "Yeah! Sweet, tomorrow, cool. Sirius will be up for that, totally. Where are we staying?"

"Room of Requirement."

"Yeah, okay. That will be sweet. Now, Dumbledore, I'm more direct that Sirius. Would you mind if we used your Floo Powder?" James requested.

Dumbledore graciously agreed and after a little lesson on using the Floo, Remus and James vanished in a puff of green flame.
