Part 1 ~ Chapter 17 ~ We only just met...

We only just met...

✨Your POV✨
It was all a trap. Anger races through my body. With my foot I kick the blue Terran. He falls backward and Keith and I head for the entrance. But soon find ourselves lost in all the panic. "Allura! It was a trap! You need to send a message to the others." Keith says his voice rough and interrupted by his panting. In that moment I realize what I have done. The bodies that lie on the floor in one of the hallways. The people I killed. They were just serving their home. It was not up to me to decide whether they live or die. No. But in that moment I had two knives and I ended two lives. Who would I kill next. No im not a murder! But then why did I do it. No. I did what was necessary. Blood pounds in my head making the world distorted. In that moment I knew. I knew what I had to do. The trap had caught its mice. But by working together to lift the trap, one can escape. I pull off my helmet dropping it to the floor with a clatter. And there before me stands the boy I had met days ago. The boy who had tackled his way into my life. I look at him now, his eyes full of fear. I could hear in the distance feet touching the ground. Coming for me, coming to me. I throw my arms around his neck pulling him into a hug. His arms cradling me. For just a moment I feel safe. Some how. The warmth of his body against mine. I loosen my arms preparing to let go. Then delicately his fingers trace my chin pulling me closer, inches away from his face.

This boy I had met days ago was cold. But the boy now was caring. In this moment nothing matters. At least for this moment. He presses his soft lips against mine. His hands slide to my waist. In this moment the connection between our bodies was, perfect. My every sense enraptured by him.

Then the world turns dark as our lips part.

"Don't you ever forget me space mullet." I whisper. Then our bodies part. I run into the storm.

Somewhere behind me, soaked in pain, a voice screams my name.
