RAYA WATCHED AS MYRCELLA AND her handmaidens played out in the gardens. She had spent more time than usual with her younger sister, with the chance of her being sent away for Raya didn't know how long.

"Raya come play with us!" Myrcella yelled, waving her over.

"I think I'm a little too old to play games," Raya told her sister. Myrcella nodded understandably. "But I will stay and watch you guys."

Myrcella shook her head, "You don't have too, I'm sure mother has stuff for you to do."

"Are you sure?" Raya asked her sister.

Myrcella smiled, "Yes, but I want to spend time with you later."

Raya grinned, "Of course." Myrcella ran over and gave her sister a quick hug before going back to play with her handmaidens. It made Raya happy that her sister was still in such a bubble of innocence.

She walked back into the Red Keep where she ran into her mother.

"Raya have you heard the news?" her mother asked.

She tilted her head in confusion, "What news?"

"Renly Baratheon was killed," she said in a gentler tone than usual.

Raya frowned. Her heart ached for her uncle but that was all she could feel. Renly was a traitor to her brother and her family. Inhaling sharply, she replied, "That is wonderful news."

She could feel her mother's eyes on her, watching her. Raya remained stone faced, not showing her mother any signs of emotion.

"Raya dear," Cersei reached out to her daughter, but Raya shrugged her off.

"May I make a request of you?" Raya asked her mother, meeting her eyes. Cersei nodded hesitantly.

"If it is within reason," Cersei said cautiously.

"I wish to be married," Cersei raised an eyebrow at her daughter.

"You wish to be married? Does this have anything to do with Myrcella?"

Raya shook her head, "I am of age and I've flowered, I believe I can be a wife. You always used to tell me I'd make a great mother."

"There is a war going on."

"I am fully aware. A great reason to marry me off, we need alliances," Raya tried to reason.

Cersei looked at her daughter skeptically. There was sheer determination in her face so Cersei nodded, giving in. "Fine."

"Thank you," and without another word, Raya left her mother.

Cersei had Raya break the news to Myrcella later that night. Cersei herself couldn't do it.
