WHEN THE LARGE DOORS opened slowly, Raya didn't know what to expect. She had heard the whispers about Daenerys Targaryen, the young queen, more beautiful than any Targaryen to come before her, but standing in the presence of Daenerys Targaryen, words did not come close to describe how beautiful she truly was.

"You stand in the presence of Daenerys Stormborn of House Targaryen, Rightful heir to the Iron Throne, rightful Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, Mother of Dragons, The Khalessi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, the Breaker of Chains," Daenerys's translator, Missandei, introduced.

Raya bites down on her cheek, refraining from saying anything. Daenerys watches the women with cautious violet eyes, untrusting yet willing to listen. Raya noticed the black. Everyone seemed to have on black. She wondered if it was a display of power.

"Before you stands Sansa Stark, the Queen in the North, the Red Wolf and Queen Raya Baratheon, the true born daughter of Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister. The heir to the Iron Throne," Jon presents.

Daenerys smiles politely, "Thank you for traveling so far. I hope the trip wasn't too bad."

"The seas were kind, Your Grace," Sansa answers. Raya wants to answer that it wasn't and wants to curse the gods, old and new, for the trip being so damn long. She didn't want to admit it, but the steady rocking of the ship had gradually made her feel sick.

"I'm glad. Now if I may say, I never did receive a formal history lesson, but I believe the last independent ruler of the North was Torrhen Stark who bent the knee to my ancestor, Aegon Targaryen."

Sansa chuckled, "Actually, my brother, Robb was the last King on the North. You haven't been here to witness the treatment of the south to the Northerners. Torrhen Stark bent the knee to save the North from dragons, he believed that Aegon would make a decent ruler. I am afraid to say I don't know you and southern rulers haven't been very kind to the North."

Daenerys raised eyebrow, an expression of insult clouding her eyes. Raya couldn't help but to feel extremely proud of Sansa in the moment.

"Pardon me Lady Stark, but I feel you are insinuating something?" Daenerys asked. From the corner of her eye she could see her uncle shift his gaze to his feet. She didn't need to speak to him to know that he didn't like the growing tensions.

"Maegor the Cruel, Aegon the Unworthy, Baelor the Blessed, your own father, Aerys Targaryen the second of his name, better known as the Mad King. They each were corrupted rulers that brought chaos to the realm," Raya said, taking a step forward so she and Sansa were side by side.

"And what of your brother Joffrey? He beheaded Eddard Stark. Questions of his birth caused five false kings to rise," Daenerys spoke, "The Kingdoms have prospered vastly under the Targaryen name, with a Stark as Warden of the North and a Baratheon in Storm's End. Bend the knee and honor the pledge you ancestors made to mine."
