You know, most of these chapters are actually supposed to turn out differently than they do, but I kind of stray away from the plot sometimes. It always turns out better than what I originally planned though. This chapter gets dark Enjoy!

=Peggy's POV=

When I woke up this morning I wasn't expecting anything that happened today. After John gained a bloody nose, he passed out and Ms. Angles ordered us to carry him to the nurse's office. John is my best friend, so of course I was worried, but it was obvious my sisters weren't. I looked over at Eliza first, and I could see that she genuinely cared. Eliza always cares for her friends and family, no matter who they are.

But Angelica was who really scared me. Her expression was almost unreadable, but I could tell that she didn't really care. She didn't try to pick up John, she didn't even move, she just watched. She followed us to the nurse's office with a smug grin on her face. When we had gotten there is when everything started going downhill. Afterwards is when I let my thoughts consume me.

Alexander and Hercules were carrying John, while the rest of us were following closely behind. When we got to the office, our nurse (Mrs. Rosing) told us that we couldn't all crowd into the room, so we waited outside. While we were standing there an idea popped into my head: what if I tried to convince my sisters that Alex wasn't right for them. "Girls?" I ask my sisters. They turn to me, expectantly. "Can I talk to you for a moment?" I ask politely. I hate how I sound like some far off acquaintance whenever I speak to them. We're sisters for god sakes! They follow me to the women's room and I take a deep breath, trying to prepare myself for this talk.

This is either going to work in my favor, or crash and burn. I think about what I'm going to say for a moment while Eliza closes the door and walks up next to Angelica.

"So," I begin, "I have to talk to you two about Alexander..." I tell them. "Okay?" They say in unison. "Well, I um... ALEXISDATING THOMASANDHESGONNABREAKUPWITHHIMTOMORROWANDSTARTDATINGJOHN ANDIJUSTTHINKTHATMAYBEYOUSHOULDKINDASTAYOUTOFIT!" I blurt out as fast as possible. "...What the fuck did you just say?" Angelica asks me. "Look... I just don't think you should pursue Alex. He has different interests, and I know that there are better men waiting for you out there. So what d'you say?" I ask hopefully. "Oh. Oh Peggy..."

Eliza starts off. "I completely understand where you're coming from. You want him to yourself!" "W-Wait, what?!" I say caught off guard. "Of course you're just being a selfish bitch." Angelica sneers at me. "I-I don't like him! Y-you've got it all wrong!" I try and reason with them. "Then what is it? What else could it possibly be?" Eliza says, starting to loose her patience. "I-it's just that Alexander is in love with someone else. He has a boyfriend." I state. "Oh. O-of course..." Eliza says, clearly discouraged. "Sure..." Angelica says.

And with that Eliza scampers out of the Bathroom. That could've gone better. Before I know what's happening, I feel a hard slap come into contact with my face. "What the hell are you doing, you little prick?!" Angelica spits at me furiously. "A-Angie I-" "Save it." She interrupts. "Listen, Margarita," she says coldly. "I can't have you getting in the way of Eliza's happiness. She matters more than anything to me." She says. "I-I th-thought you cared about me!" I cried as she pushed me into the countertop behind me. The marble makes hard painful contact with my lower back.

"Please," she says, "the only reason anyone likes you is because you're a Schuyler." She stomps down onto my stomach, causing me to scream and cough. "Eliza matters more than your petty little life will ever be worth." She says, kicking me in the ribs, causing another cry of pain to escape my lips. "You make me look bad, Peggy. 'We should be home by sundown,' and 'Daddy doesn't want us at this party,'. You joined the fucking science club for god sakes!" She rants, kicking me down again.
