A/N: My mind is mush and I'm so out of it today, maybe some writing will engage me. Said no one ever.
_____________________________=Peggy's POV=
What is this feeling so sudden and new (I need to be stopped)? Is it... appreciation? Is this what finally being acknowledged and loved feels like. I feel a tug on my arm- it's the News Crew leader, Danny McIntosh, and Co-leader, Arlene Marcus. They want to speak to me? Someone who's popular is actually trying to talk to me! I feel my face flush as I look down at Arlene. And they're hot.
"Ms. Schuyler, we need an interview immediately!" Danny says, ready to get as much dirt as he could. Looking back behind me at the crowd of students chanting my name, I let out an indecisive "Umm..." To be honest I was really loving the attention, but I wasn't ready to get suspended for knocking Thomas out. Getting the News Team on my side would probably get my friends and I off of the hook. "We need you to bring your friends too." Arlene chimes in.
I honestly don't know what to do, but when I hear our principal's booming voice just down the hall, I quickly nod my head yes. "I'll uh- I'll go get them now!" I call over my shoulder, pushing my sore legs back into the room. "Guys!" I yell into the classroom as The principal and a few other teachers fight their way towards us. "We need to go now!" They're approaching, "Jesus Christ- GUYS!" That got their attention.
"We need to go! The principal is coming, along with Mr. Washington!" Finally they all start to follow me out of the room, Alexander looking panicked as ever. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!" I hear Mr. Washington exclaim over the crowd of students. Basically sprinting through the crowd back to Danny, I rush out, "Can we hurry this up please?" Noticing that the principal had almost completely forced her way through the crowd, Danny and Arlene quickly turn around and hustle to the news office.
The mob was trying to follow us, my name now lost among the incoherent yelling of other students pushing their way down the hall. Luckily for us, the hall monitors came rushing towards us and right passed to help control the crowd. They weren't exactly doing much, but it slowed down the crowd a little bit. "Thank God!" I say looking over at the head of the News Crew, "I thought they might come and trample us!" "Yeah, after all of that commotion there's no way people are going to ignore this next report, Peggy."
I can feel Angelica's eyes burning into the back of my head. What did I ever do to her?! "Thanks so much! Now we have material for the next few months at least!" Arlene thanks as we arrive at the office. "O-Oh um!" Alexander cuts in just before they can start getting everyone situated, "Can you- oh, I dunno- leave out the part where I was the victim? Maybe? Please?" Oh my son, you're so awkward. "I'm sorry, Hamilton," Danny says, looking at him apologetically, "but we need to include the entire story. You being the victim is vital information!"
Alex looks straight up horrified. "You need to be interviewed first as well, and we'll interview Mr. Jefferson after he is well enough," Arlene says, motioning for him to come into the room where they would interview him. "We made sure to get footage of you after your friends found you, too." "Wait, please!" He cries as Arlene goes to close the door, "Can you just not include photographs? And maybe not go into explicit detail about my circumstance?"
"Hm...We'll consider it..." Danny says, about to follow Alexander and Arlene into the office when John stops him. "Please! It is clearly making Alex uncomfortable, and he obviously doesn't want to do this!" "You know what, fine!" Danny gives up, proceeding into the room and instructing the camera crew to set up. The door shuts with a SLAM and the rest of us are left to the chairs outside.
Now I actually look around to see how everyone else is doing. John has plopped himself in the chair closest to the door, his knee bobs restlessly in front of him, Angelica and Eliza are whispering about something, undoubtedly me, when Angie shoots me a look reading you're dead. I shoot back an honesty-what-the-fuck-did-I-do look. When I look at Lafayette and Hercules, I see what I least expected: Herc is freaking the fuck out. Lafayette is trying his best to calm him down, which is him shaking Hercules until he focuses.
Herc says something breathlessly and gets up to speed into the attached bathroom, followed by a worried Lafayette. I notice John slipping inside after him. About six minutes later, the three of them walk back out, Hercules slightly calmer than when he entered. I can faintly hear Laf whisper "Un, deux, trois, quatre..." taking Hercules through the breathing exercise in French. What is going on with them?
Honestly though, they're so close and they obviously like each other, so why don't they just go out. They're probably the closest. Other than John and Alex that is. Omg I'm actually realizing how adorable they would be together! Ew, did I just say omg?! I disgust myself sometimes. Whatever, it's time to fucking ruin Jefferson's rep!

A/N: This is kind of just a filler, cause the chapter would get waaaaaay too long if I put the interviews and stuff in there too. But yeah, Hercules is actually camera shy and gets really flustered when he knows that he's being filmed; I honestly just really wanted to put that in there for some reason. So here you go and I'm not sorry. ~Trin
