Panic

fSkylar's P.O.V. (three weeks later.)

I woke up with a small headache this morning. I quickly took some Tylenol and hopped in the shower, I changed into a light pair of faded blue jeans and a black tee shirt that I had to tie up in the back from being so loose. I brushed out my long, wavy brown hair and brushed my teeth. One I was finished getting ready I had a small bowl of cereal then grabbed my jacket and car keys. 

As the days pass by its slowly becoming easier to be without him. I told myself I won't say his name for my sake and I have been finding it easier to get him off my mind as well. He no longer consumes my every thought like he did only a week ago. I can' tell you how hard it is being without him, but I'm still learning. 

I made my way out to my car and slid in the driver side. As I started it I noticed a figure standing to the right of my building. They began walking towards my car, I squinted my eyes and found it to be no other than Will. but he was not alone... in my review mirror I saw another tall figure, this one was bigger though... He walked out from under the tree so I could see who it was... My mother's new husband walked toward my car... I couldn't remember his name but what I did remember was he was strong, and scared both R- him and I...

 I began to panic... I know what they want... I know what they are here for... 

me...

this could only mean one thing... My mother and Ev have teamed up to get me... I quickly pulled out and drove away, I'm glad I was in my car... other wise I could be being dragged away but the two of them... Without thinking I dialed Riker's number, I haven't talked to him since he last called me back after talking to R-him. 

"Skylar?" Riker's voice filled my ears.

"hey Rik." I slightly smiled as I drove down a back road.

"what's up? how are you?" he asked as I heard whispering in the back ground. 

"uh... I'm fine, just taking a ride..." I told him, he sighed.

"you don't sound like you're okay... what's going on?" he wondered.

"nothing Rik I'm fine." 

"I don't believe you, why don't you come over and we can talk." I could almost see the smile on his face.

"uh no, not such a good idea..." I sighed.

"why not? Ross isn't here, he's gonna be out all day and possibly half of the night." Rik said.

"you sure?"

"of course, head on over." I nodded realizing he can't see me.

"okay, be there in a few." I uttered and hung up. I began my drive over, thinking about the worst possible scenario's... Like I would walk in to find him instead of Riker... or him would come home with another girl and see me... I couldn't bare that. I pulled into the Lynch's drive way seeing Riker's car only, I smiled in relief and stepped out of my car. As I walked up towards the front door I happened to see someone looking out the window at me, it looked like Him, but most likely was Riker. I stepped up on the small platform and knocked lightly on the door. 

 The door opened revealing Riker, I smiled as he immediately took me into a bear hug. 

"Hey Rik." I giggled, he squeezed me tighter.

"hey Sky." Rik pulled back and looked at me with a wide smile. "come in, let's go in the living room. No one's home, they won't be for a while. Do you want a drink? food? anything?" he snickered, I smiled.

"sure." I shrugged.

"what would you like?"

"water please." I watched Riker fill up a glass of water and lead me into the living room. I sat on the couch beside him and took a small sip out of the glass. 

"so what's going on?" Rik asked as he turned to face me, I sighed and faced him crossing my legs Indian style. I took another sip of my water and decided to ignore the question. 

"Where is Ro-ss." Damn it.

"he's u-up at a party." Riker stuttered, I looked at him confused.

"oh... okay." 

"you know he's been really upset since you broke up with him... that whole cheating thing... he was drunk and had no clue what he was doing, that was until he saw you. Once he saw you he said it was like he was sober again, he could think clearly." I shook my head and placed my water down.

"Rik I don't want to talk about that... there's no need to... its done and over with." I muttered.

"no Skylar it's not. He loves you, and nobody else." Riker scooted closer to me.

"If he loved me... He wouldn't of done it... Drunk or not." I told him and shook my head again. "please let's change the subject." I begged.

"you never answered my question." Riker smirked. 

"what question?" I wondered, thankful he changed the subject. 

"what's going on with you?" he asked again. 

"nothing why?" I was too quick to answer, Riker glared at me and cleared his throat. 

"comon Sky, I know when something's wrong. tell me." I sighed and nodded.

"promise not to tell anyone, including Ross." I gulped, Riker nodded. "okay... well this morning I was getting in my car to go shopping... well... Will came... he was walking towards the front of my car... and- and my mother's knew husband... he was there too, Walking towards the back of my car... Their after me again... but now it's worse... My mother and Ev have teamed up." I looked down at my shaking hands.

"what... how... no... they could hurt you! You can't go back there!" Riker stood up.

"I have no choice too, I don't have anywhere else to stay." I knew Riker would insist on me staying with them, But I refuse too. I can't see Ross, it will kill me. 

"stay with us then. it's worth it Skylar, I won't let you go back there." he grinded his teeth.

"Riker I can't stay with you, not... not with him here... it's his home, I don't belong here... I'll go back, and if- if anything happens I-I have Jesse. I could call Luke maybe..." I shrugged. 

"Skylar stay here, please." Riker begged, I shook my head and stood from the couch. 

"I-I'm gonna go home Rik." I stuttered, Riker walked over and grabbed my wrist.

"Skylar I can't make you stay, but I can beg you too. Please, it's not worth going back there. You could be killed, they could take you away and do terrible things to you. Who knows what vile things they would do. If Ev got her hands on you... I can't let that happen to my best friend, Skylar that would kill Ross. Just stay here please." he pleaded, I shook my head and walked down the hall.

"no Riker, I'll be fine. I promise, I'll call you if anything happens alright. Don't worry." I sighed and turned around, I wrapped my arms around his waist and hugged him tightly before letting go and kissing his cheek. "thank you though." I smiled and turned around to leave. As I looked up my smile dropped and my eyes widened.

"You can't leave, I can't loose you!" He shook.

Ross stood there, Arms and legs out, blocking the door. His face was red and his eyes were glossy, his body was shaking. He was scared...
