Love Falls Forever

Fuck up.

I ran to Riker's cabin and stopped before I reached the porch. How could he do this to me... again... I turned around looking towards the woods and ran my fingers through my hair, tears still falling down my face. I banged on Riker's door twice and faced back towards the woods. The door opened and someone stepped out onto the porch with me. 

"hey." Rik said wrapping an arm around my shoulder like he usually does. 

"Ross cheated." I gulped. Riker moved in front of me and tilted my chin up.

"what?" he asked. 

"Ross... he cheated on me. with Zoey. When I went to change I caught them about to..." I broke down again. My knees were weak and shaky, I fell on my knees covering my face.  

"I am so sorry he did that... I don't know what is wrong with him." Riker sounded angry as he picked me up and brought me inside. 

"he... he said he would never hurt me again." I sobbed into Rik's chest. 

"sh it will be okay Skylar. It's gonna be okay." 

"I thought he loved me."

Riker's P.O.V.

Skylar had cried herself to sleep in my arms. I was furious at Ross for hurting her like this. I stood up, slipped on my boots and walked out the door. I stormed up to Ross' cabin and swung the door open.

"Ross!" I yelled. Ross walked around the corner dressed in a tee shirt, sweat pants, and his converse.

"yeah hi Riker." He quickly walked passed me and to the door.

"where the hell are you going?" I grumbled.

"to go find Skylar. I-I did something and I need to fix it. I don't know where she went." He took a deep breath.

"I do. She's at my cabin. She told me what you did. She cried herself to sleep in my arms. Before she fell asleep she said she thought you loved her. How could you fucking cheat on her!" I shouted. He pulled at his hair. 

"fuck." he grunted. "I don't know why I cheated! Zoey had came over to talk to me after Ryland and I got back. We were talking then she just kissed me, and I couldn't help myself. I was attracted to her and I don't know why. Before I knew it we were lying in the bed. She took of her shirt and I took off mine. I knew it was wrong and I didn't want to do it but I couldn't stop. Then I heard a small squeak and looked at the door and there was Skylar. I... Fuck. I fucked up badly. So fucking badly. She's never gonna trust me again. I don't even know if she's gonna take me back... But I need her and I wish I could take it all back. Rik you gotta help me. Please. You gotta help me make this better." He pleaded. 

"no." I said coldly. 

"what?"

"I'm not gonna help you. This is your fault, you did this. No one else. You fix it, if you can. I'm so pissed at you for hurting her. So no I won't help you." He nodded.

"Okay... I understand. You should be upset with me. Fuck... I'm so pissed at myself. I can't believe I hurt her..." Ross began to break down. He fell on his knees just like Skylar did on my porch, he covered his face and cried like how she did too. "her face... she looked so-so broken... I'm such a fucking dick." 

"Ross get up. Go to bed. You will see her tomorrow, maybe you can try to fix things. I doubt she's even gonna want to look at you but you can try. Until then go to sleep. I'm leaving." I walked to the door but stopped. I turned around and walked into the bedroom. I saw a water bottle laying on it's side against the door frame. 

"she dropped it when she saw us..." Ross muttered. I nodded and picked it up. I grabbed a small bag and put a pair of shorts, a tank top and a sweat shirt inside it. I slipped the water bottle into the side and looked at the bed. It was a mess. the covers were thrown all over the place and the sheets were all messed up. "I won't be able to sleep in that..." Ross exclaimed. I shook my head at him before leaving his cabin. When I shut the door I heard Ross punch something then start crying uncontrollably. I felt bad for him but it was his fault and he deserved it. 

I walked back to my cabin hoping that Skylar was still sleeping. When I got inside I was happy to see she was. I set her bag next to the couch where she had laid and picked her up. I set her down in my bed and covered her up. I put her water bottle beside her on the night stand and went to go sleep on the couch. I had woken up around two in the morning from a noise coming from my bedroom so I got up and walked in. Skylar was sitting up in my bed drinking her water and shaking. 

"hey you alright?" I asked her as I sat on the edge of the bed.

"yeah... I'm fine. Just a nightmare." she gulped. I nodded. I moved closer to her and rested my hand on her back. She was shaking terribly. I began rubbing her back trying to calm her. 

"it's okay." I assured her. Skylar didn't say anything, she just continued to drink her water and shake. I stood up and sat in front of her making her look into my eyes. "it's all okay. You're safe." I promised her. Her constant shaking began to slowly come to a stop as she nodded. I rested my hands on her cheeks and wiped away the tears. "would you like me to stay with you? or are you okay?" Skylar took another sip of water and looked around the room, thinking.

"stay." She whispered. I nodded and climbed to the other side of the large bed.

"lay down. I got you." I said in a soothing voice. Sky set her water down and laid back into my arms. She curled up into my side and rested her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around her and started rubbing her back again.

"thank you." she muttered.

"anytime." I smiled and kissed her forehead. Within minutes she was out, sound asleep. What was in her dreams that made her so scared?
