Love Falls Forever

A while...

Riker's P.O.V.

Ross seemed as if he were going to break down in front of us crying. I could see the pain flash in his eyes as he looked back down at Skylar. Ev overdosed Skylar on some kind of deadly drug. None of us knew what to do next, we all stood there still as statues looking at Ross. Once mom had said her heart was barely beating Ross had stopped breathing, literally. His eyes were wide in terror and he stood there in front of us like his heart had stopped and he was about to drop dead. Ross was paralyzed in fear of loosing Skylar, we all were. I knew I had to do something, because if I didn't Skylar would die any minute. I barged through Rydel and Rocky and scooped Skylar into my arms. 

"we have to get her to the hospital." I calmly said for Ross' sake. inside I was freaking out, most likely like everyone else. 

"Ross come on." Rydel grabbed his arm and pulled him behind me. I rushed to the van and laid her down in the back seat. Ross slid in and held her head on his lap. Everyone else got in two other cars and he followed behind me the whole way to the hospital. Ross didn't talk until we had pulled up to the hospital. 

"Ross." Skylar mumbled. 

"Skylar, Baby it's okay" Ross told her. I quickly got out and opened the door for him. 

"where are w-we?" She stuttered as Ross swiftly picked her up and began carrying her to the doors. 

"the hospital." Ross answered. Skylar glanced back at me with droopy eyes. 

"Riker?" I slightly smiled and nodded. 

"we need a doctor." Ross said as he entered the hospital doors. 

 "n-o... I'm f-fin-e rea-" Skylar tried saying, before she could finish her sentence it seemed as if her breath had been taken away from her. Her head fell back over Ross' arm and her eyes slammed shut. Ross began to panic.

"we need a doctor now!" he yelled. I felt as if I was dying inside. Skylar was on the edge of death while Ross was falling apart inside. I could see it on the outside. 

"follow me!" A man shouted through the waiting room. Ross and I ran to him quickly following him into a large emergency room. "lay her down." he said, Ross did so and stayed right beside her. Mom, dad, and the rest were told to wait out in the waiting room. "what happened?" The doctor asked while checking her heart beat. 

"someone drugged her." Ross said too quickly. 

"overdose?" We both nodded. "do you know what drug?" we shook our heads. "alright." I squinted looking at the doctor's name tag. Doctor Andrews. Ross and I watched him as he slipped an air hose around Skylar's head. He had called in two nurses and another doctor. 

"were going to need you two to leave." One of the nurses said. 

"no, no I can't leave her." Ross mumbled. 

"Ross it's okay, she'll be okay. Come on." I told him as I pulled him out by his arm. "let's go wait with mom and dad." I calmly said. He followed me out with his head down. Once we entered the room our family stood up looking worried. 

"what's happening? is she alright?" mom asked.

"we don't know yet. there working on her now." I mumbled sitting beside Ross who slumped down in his seat. "Ross I'm sure she's gonna be alright. you got to have faith man." I told him, he nodded but never looked up from his hands. Everyone else sat down and we waited patiently in silence. About two hours later mom and dad decided to leave, Rydel, Ratliff, and Ryland went with them. But Rocky stayed. He looked very tired and I would often catch him falling asleep in his chair. 

"dude want me to drive you home?" I asked him. 

"no I took my car." he told me.

"then why don't you go home and sleep. you're falling asleep man." he shook his head.

"no I'm fine." 

"Rocky you don't have to stay here." Ross mumbled, it was the first time he had spoken since he told the nurse he couldn't leave Skylar. 

"no man it's alright. I wanna be here. I'm here for you Ross, even if I fall asleep in this chair." Rocky chuckled and smiled at Ross. Ross gave Rocky a slight, crooked smile. "think positive man." Rocky said hitting Ross on the arm gently. 

"I'm trying." he muttered. 

"don't try just do." Rocky sat back in his chair and looked at Ross.

"it's not that easy." Ross sighed and put his head into his hands. 

"it is if you try." Rocky murmured. 

Then it was quiet again. Another hour of waiting in silence brought Rocky sleep, made me anxious and made Ross grow even more unsteady. minutes had passed which felt like hours. and when hours past it felt like eternity.

I have a feeling we will be waiting here for a while...
