"Im hanging on by a thread, and all I'm clinging to is prayers, every breath is like a battle and I feel like I aint come prepared"
You weren't sure how things had gotten so bad so fast, you weren't sure how one day you you were happy and enjoying life and now you were here, struggling to breathe, so sad you physically felt pain in every bone of your body, it had been going on for months now and everyday it just got worse.
One moment your life was fine, but then everything came crashing down all at once and now you were hardly surviving, you were hardly making it longer than a day where you didn't have a break down of some sort. You felt alone, empty in the word, like you had no place.
"Im smilin' in everyones face, Im cryin' whenever they leave the room, they don't know the battle I face, They don't understand what Im going through"
You had managed to keep it together in front of everyone family, friends, co-workers, no one saw how broken you had become, you didn't allow anyone too. Until you met Jack. Something about him made you trust him, made you want to open up to him, made you want to feel something other than sadness.
"But I can't do this on my own, Thats why I'm trusting in you"
You had met Jack one night when you were working, you had served all the boys and when you had gone back to collect the money and the tip there was a little note sticking out of the bill.
"A beautiful girl like you who looks so sad inside makes me worry, text me sometime, id love to see that beautiful smile, but only a real one-Jack Avery (000-000-0000)(His number)
At first you didn't know what to think, you thought you had done a better job at covering it up, but you guessed when someone actually paid close enough attention to her things aren't so easy to fake anymore.
When you got home you sat on the couch in your dark apartment, looking at the small piece of paper with the small note and number at the bottom. You had assumed that Jack was the one with Curly hair because at the restaurant one of them had yelled "Shut it noddles" and he replied "Its jack to you peasant!"
The small thought made you laugh a little before you had made your choice. You picked up the note and brought it close to your phone, typing the number in one by one and then reading it over three times to make sure you had it right.
"Hey its y/n, from the restaurant. Sorry if I'm bugging you so late, I just got off" You typed, within seconds your message had been read and the bubbles popped up, signalling that he was typing back.
"Hello beautiful, how was work?:)"
You talked almost every moment of everyday since that night.
"You know Ill be there for you no matter where you go, You'll never be alone no"
Jack started caring for you the way no one ever had before, he asked if you were okay more than once a day and when you weren't you found yourself actually wanting to be truthful, sometimes he'd even call you if you didn't answer for hours on end, he worried about you, he cared about you.
It was about 3 months after the two of you had started talking, it was a night worse than one you had ever had. If had first started with a panic attack, which lead to crying, which lead to another panic attack and anger. You were mess, you couldn't breathe and for the first time in what felt like months you didn't want to be alone, you didn't want to go through this anymore by yourself. You reached your phone out of your sweat pants pocket, shaking heavily as you pressed on his contact and brought the phone up to the ear.
"Y/n?" He asked, his voice was laced with sleep. You hadn't even realized it was one in the morning until you had heard his voice.
"J-jack Im sorry I know its L-late" You whispered, shuttering as you spoke, feeling the anxiety bubble in you once again.
"Ill be over in 15, make sure the door is unlocked. Ill be there soon and then we can deal with this all together, please Y/n" he told you as you could hear movement in the background. You nodded your head even though he couldn't see you and squeezed your eyes shut, feeling more tears fall.
Within less than 15 minutes Jack was in your apartment, rocking you back and fourth.
"I don't want wanna do this anymore Jack, I hate this constant pain I feel, I hate it all and I don't wanna do it anymore" You cried into his chest. His arms tightened around you, hoping that if he held onto you tight enough you'd never leave him and he'd never hear those words again.
"Just fight a little longer my love, its all worth it in the end"He whispered before placing a soft kiss on your forehead, hugging you for dear life.
