-Got this idea from a prompt book!-

You rolled your eyes as you sat in the drivers side seat of your car, a small chuckle falling from your lips as you looked down at your hands, you're pointer fingers playing with each other.

Were you really gonna do this again? Were you gonna walk into a restaurant, smile and look good and wait for some asshole who's gonna be a prick the whole night to sit down next to you? Yes, you were.

You had been set up on blind dates before, and you had hated every second of them, but this time was promised to be different. Your best friend Lily had told you that her boyfriends bandmate would be perfect for you. Although you had heard that before you didn't want to be rude and say no- so you bit your lip and nodded when she asked you if you'd be up for it.

You had met a few of Jonah's bandmates, but the one you were being set up with was home for a small family emergency, so he was the only one you hadn't met- but you had seen him online a few times and although he was cute, you were almost positive he would be just like the rest.

Nervously you got out of your car and walked to the doors of the Italian place the two of you had agreed to meet at over text, you felt a little shy as you walked in and saw his eyes go wide as he saw you.

"You look beautiful" He smiled, his eyes locking with yours and never for a second even bothering to look at the rest of your body. Maybe the evening wouldn't be so bad after all.

When you two got to the table, which happen to be right by the window- over looking the beautiful down town LA that was lit up by lights, Daniel pulled out your chair and pushed it in slightly when you sat down. Being a perfect gentlemen.

"So Jonah says your in university?" Daniel said, looking up from his menu to meet your eyes- a wide smiling plastering his face as he looked at you, his tooth gap showing slightly.

"Yeah, just started at UCLA this year"You smiled back with a small nod, neither of you breaking eye contact.

"What are you studying?" He asked closing his menu and resting his chin on his folded hands while his elbows rested on the table.

You had never had a blind date pay so much attention to you, Daniel actually acted like he cared about the words coming from your lips, like he was taking an interest you.

"Im majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in journalism, hoping to be a writer one day but I wouldn't mind being a journalist either" You smiled as the waiter walked over to the table the two of you were sitting at, refilling the glasses of water before he turned to you.

"What can I get for you tonight?" He asked, pulling out his notepad and pen.

After taking both of your orders, you turned your attention back to the cute boy in front of you.

"Id ask you what you do for a living but you are part of the five that are all over time square at the moment" You said with a small laugh causing the boy to blush.

"Tell me about it" You smiled, mocking his position- leaning your chin against your hands.

"Well, we travel a lot, we make music and we're a family" Daniel told her, smiling from ear to ear. No one had ever really asked him about it, everyone just kinda knew.

"Canada is really cool, We got to go to Europe a few months ago. Amsterdam had to be my favourite, we rode bikes all over, it was absolutely amazing"

"I use to travel when I was really young, but its been forever, use to be my favourite thing" You smiled, remembering all the times you had traveled when you were young.

The two of you talked for another twenty minutes until dinner came. As you ate the two of you talked and chatted but at one point in the meal you looked up to find Daniel already staring at you.

"Do I have something on my face?" You laughed as you brought the napkin up to your face and patted around your lips, making sure you didn't have any pasta sauce around the edges.

"I love you" He blurted out. Both of you went wide eyed for a few seconds until loud laughs came from both of you, almost to the point where tears were about to run from your eyes.

"Im sorry, you make me nervous and I panicked" He said awkwardly looking down at his lap, feeling like he had just ruined everything with the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

"Really it's okay, I haven't laughed that hard in a while" You said, giving him a warm smile which he couldn't see.

"Wanna know a secret?" You asked, making him lift his head.

"You make me a little nervous too" You said with a blush sweeping your cheeks.

The two of you talked and laughed for the rest of the meal, never enjoying anyones company as much as you had enjoyed his.

After Daniel insisted paying the check, he also offered to walk you to your car as it was now dark(Which translates to: Im trying to spend as much time with possible with you).

"Maybe next time you can propose to me, if your lucky I might even say yes" You told him as you opened your car door, turning back around to place a soft kiss on his cheek before turning back to your car and slipping into the drivers seat, sending him wink before closing the door and driving off.

Leaving him standing in the dark at a restaurant parking lot, smiling like a fucking idiot.

Who knew a blind date would be how you met the love of your life.
