You're their daughter!

How they met- They weren't supposed to meet. You weren't supposed to you. Two of their friends had set them up on blind dates, but your mom got stood up and Jonah had gone to the wrong place, it was pure luck. Jonah did some cheesy pickup line on her, as she sat glum and a little sad at the bar. Your mom hadn't been on a date for a while, it took her a long time to heal after her ex, which is why her best friend set her up with "the best guy she knew" your mom was sure to call her out on that the next time she went over. The cheesy joke made your mom break out into a huge smile, one no one had seen in a while.  Then, he went even cheesier when he asked if the seat next to her was taken, when clearly it was empty. "No, go right ahead," your mom told him, pointing at the bar stool next to him.

When they found out- They had a hard time getting pregnant, it was heartbreaking. Your mom was constantly sad, broken looking because she couldn't do the one thing she felt she was meant to do. But then, she had fallen and been taken to the hospital, and then the doctor told her not to worry, that her baby was okay. She didn't believe him, so she asked again.  And when Doctor Kim confirmed, she asked again, and again, until she could believe it. The look on Jonah's face was unlike anything else because their life was complete, simply because you were in it.

Jonah goes baby shopping- "Baby! You won't believe what I got today!"Jonah yelled as he walked into the door of their new house, your mom who sat on the couch, 7 months pregnant and feeling huge, his voice alone made her smile. Your mom couldn't believe how many bags he had in his hands, well over 10. Full and heavy as his smile was bigger than ever.

"I got the cutest outfits ever! I aslo learned not to go into the baby gap, its a trap to buy the whole store"

"You did, didn't you?"

"Almost"He smirked as he looked at her. They spent three hours that night, showing her all the things he had bought for you. Everything so small and so cute, the way he was sure one day youd be.

When you were born-Your mom was terrified, scared that she wasn't going to be the greatest mom or going to be the one that you deserved. The labor wasn't as long as her best her, and your grandma had told her theirs were, she was lucky in that department. You didn't cry right away, which made your mom panic.

"Jo, why isn't she crying? What's wrong with our baby" The panic in her voice was enough to just about kill him; but before he could walk over to the baby station, a loud and beautiful cry sounded off in the room, bringing both your mom and dad to tears. Nurse Amanda brought you to them, placing their baby right between your mom's neck and left breast for skin on skin contact. A small sob left your moms throat as she held you for the first time in her arms, that moment, for the rest of her life, would always seem too amazing to be real.

8th Birthday- "Theres the birthday girl!" "Uncle Daniel!"You yelled as you dropped your yellow crayon and ran towards one the four boys, who walked into the large backyard of the house you and Jonah lived in. Your mom had passed away only a few months ago, a drunk driver. You didn't understand, you were too young, too innocient to understand why there were bad people in the world. You were Jonah's only reason to keep going. Not that he often let you see him struggle, he kept his best, bravest game face on for you.

"How's my favourite girl in the world doing on her speical day?"He asked, bending down to your hight to give you his award winning smile.

"Good"You told him, smiling back at him like he put the sun in the sky. Daniel was the closest to you out of all the boys, he was around the most, espically after your moms passing.

"Are you ready to go see your cake? Grandpa just brought it inside!"

"Grandpas here?!"You yelled, running towards the door, looking up to see Jonah's dad, along with your moms day laughing and smiling away in the kitchen.

Your birthday party was lovely, every family member outside on the beautiful warm day, presents everywhere, but you couldn't help but feel like a big part was missing; thats because it was, your mom was missing.

High School Graduation Night- "How about Charlies, just like we use too?"You asked from the driver's seat in your car, Jonah sitting, slightly grey-haired, smiling like crazy.

"Sounds great," He told her honestly, leaning his head against the headrest, thinking the same thing you are.

"I'm so proud of you, "He told you later on that night, after taking a bite of his chocolate chip ice cream, you and he sat in the same booth you use to every Saturday after soccer. Every week both of you always ordered the same things, 1 Chocolate chip, and 1 coffee ice cream.

"I wish she was here, "You told him, your eyes glossing over, it was days like this where you missed her the most.

"I can't tell you how proud of you she'd be. When we first found out we were pregnant, all your mom could talk about was your future. Kindergarten, high school, your wedding day. It always freaked me out honestly, to know that one day our little girl would be all grown up, graduating high school, getting married, being her own person, impressing us daily. But your mom, man nothing scared her. She couldn't wait for the day where you were you. She was so proud of all the things you were going to accomplish and she hadn't even met her yet.

"I love you so much dad" You whispered, a tear running down your face as Jonah smiled sadly at you; he missed her too.

Wedding Day- "I can't believe my baby girl is getting married-"Jonah said as he walked into the brides room" His sentence was stopped short as he got a chance to look at you, standing in a white dress, hair, and makeup done, you looked beautiful, it was enough to bring tears to your eyes.

"Am I supposed to be this nervous?" You asked your dad, your legs shaking, your stomach full of butterflies.

"I was. I was so nervous when me and your mom got married"He told her, a small smile lacing his lips as he thought about the day.

"What did you do?"You asked him, your eyes meeting his in the mirror as he placed his hands on your shoulders.

"Well, she started walking down the aisle, and she looked at me with her big beautiful eyes and it just went away. I knew she and the life we had begun building was everything I wanted"

"Its time," Your best friend and bridesmaid said, opening the door with a huge smile on her face.

"Ready dad?"

"Ready as I'll ever be"He said with a sigh, the idea of him giving away his little girl was heartbreaking, but the smile on your face was enough to make that breaking feeling go away.

"I love you, dad, i always will"You whispered to him as you placed a kiss on his cheek before he let you go, allowing you to walk up and join your husband to be.

Jonah was right, the second you saw him, the feeling went away, you knew he was worth it all.
