I love you more. *A Zalfie Fanfic*

Meeting Joe.

I looked at Alfie and he gave me a worried look.

"Alfie you'll be fine. They don't bite." I leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, and exited out of the passenger side of the car.

I stood and waited for Alfie at the end of the walkway and looked out at the world around me. The sun was out and the birds were singing. You could hear a combine harvester off in the distance. And see the young men thatching roofs, their silhouettes in the sunlight. You could smell the fresh cut grass. And the mountains, mountains as far as the eye could see. I loved being home, with all my heart.

Alfie put his larger hand in my smaller one, snapping me out of my daze.

"Zoe are you sure this is a good idea? I've known you for like 4 days and we've been together for almost 1. Don't you think we're jumping the gun a little?"

I was sad that Alfie didn't want to meet my family. However, I understood where he was coming from. This was probably nerve racking for him.

"Alfie I'm sorry you're right. Let me run in and pack really quick. okay? I am sorry I pushed it on you." I looked down and my feet and started to walk past Alfie.

"Hey wait!" Alfie grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a hug. "Zoe I want to meet your family so bad. I want to make you happy. I'm just really nervous. God knows what they'll think of me!"

I look up at Alfie and rested my chin on his chest.

"Alfie I know they'll love you."

"How do you know?"

"Because 1. You helped me get away from Nikolai. They've been wanting that for so long. And 2. Because I love you and you make me extremely happy. That's all they care about."

"Are you sure."

"Positive."

Alfie leaned down and connected his lips with mine. A soft, tender, lingering kiss. I desperately wanted to say there and be in Alfie's arms forever. But it was almost 5 and we had to leave at 6.

Alfie released me from his grasp and grabbed my hand. I led him up the walkway and into the house.

"Dad, Joe? I'm home!"

Joe came bounding down the stairs and put an arm around me! I forgot I still had the brushes and scratches.

"Zoe! Are you okay!?"

"I'm fine Joe. There's someone I'd like you to meet. This is Alfie. He helped me get away from Nick."
I looked up at Alfie and smiled.

"Nice to meet you Alfie. Thanks for helping her and bringing her home."

Joe shook Alfie's hand. And let go.

"Listen Joe I have to pack really quick Me and Alf are going to Louise's for the next couple of days maybe till Sunday."

"Okay. Go and pack. Also dad isn't here he had to go London on business."

"Okay." I leaned up and gave Alfie a kiss on the cheek. "I shouldn't be too long okay?"

"Okay."

I walked up the stairs towards my room hoping that Alfie would pass interrogation #1.

I packed all the essentials, clothes, makeup, and toiletries.

I was at the landing of the stairs eavesdropping on Alfie and Joe.

"Listen man I cannot control my sister, if she wants to date you she'll date you. Obviously you guys are because I can see the way she stares at you. She thinks I don't pay attention. But I want you to know that I do. My sister is my best friend and seeing what Nick did to her tore me up inside, but I couldn't do anything about it because she loved him. My sister falls so hard so fast that she usually doesn't see red flags. The main thing I'm trying to get across is that if you hurt my sister I will hurt you."

"Joe I need you to know that I would NEVER hurt your sister she means so much to me. I'll tell you what if I ever do something to upset you in anyway I will let you punch me in the face. How's that sound?"

Alfie and Joe started laughing and I walked in sensing that it was a good time. Alfie and Joe stood up off the couch. Alfie grabbed my bag and put an arm around my waist.

"Okay Joe we're leaving." Joe leaned in and gave me a kiss on the cheek and turned his attention to Alfie.

"Keep her safe."

"I will man."

Alfie and Joe shook hands and we were out the door. Alfie unlocked the car and opened the passenger door for me. Once I was in he shut it and put my bag in the back seat next to his. He sat down in the seat next to me and started the car.

"So how was that?" I asked him.

"It went better than I thought. Don't know what I was so afraid of."

Alfie grabbed my hand and pulled it to his mouth planting a kiss on the back of it.

It was about a 2 or 3 hour drive to Louise's house. I was so excited I knew this would be a great opportunity for me and Alfie to bond.

Quick question are the chapters too long? and is the story moving to slow? because ive written like 3 chapters and the are all on the same day in the story.
