"Okay Zoe, we're going to help you up." The nurses said and they each grabbed an arm.

I was finally being release after about 3 days in the hospital. Not counting the semi-coma I was in thats what Alfie called it anyway. My stitches were still in, making it incredibly difficult to do anything.

After stabilizing me on my feet they sat me down into a wheel chair. Alfie had run to get the car and bring it to the door, so a young girl about 17 probably doing work experience, rolled me out to the check-out desk.

Alfie came back in and gave me a kiss in the cheek.

"Okay Ms. Sugg. Would you like a bill mailed to you, or would you like to receive it now?"

Before I could answer Alfie did. "We can pay now, credit."

He said smiling at the nurse behind the counter.

"Are you sure?" I questioned.

"Yep." He answered taking my hand in his.

After signing all of the paper work, Alfie wheeled me out to the car. He picked me up and placed me gently into the car. He handed a male nurse the wheelchair, shook his hand politely, and got into the car.

We drove home, stopping for take away in the process. When we got home there was a huge arrangement of flowers sat on the ground in front of the door.

Alfie and I just stood there, staring at them. They were huge. Full of lilies, gerber daisies, pansies, and hollyhocks, with lavender scarcely scattered throughout.

I assumed they were from Lou, or my dad, seeing as they were the only people who new my release date from the hospital. Alfie walked over and picked up the large vase.

I swiped my card, entered the code, and opened the door. We walked in, me at about snail speed, and Alfie placed the flowers on the clean, black counter tops. Alfie rushed over and took the take away bags from my arms and demanded me to sit on the couch.

He walked over, bearing a plate of Chinese food and the card from the flowers.

"I watered them." He said sweetly, setting down the plate and kissing me on the lips.

I opened the envelope and read:

"Hi Zoe, it is mum. I heard about your injury and just wanted to wish you well healing. I would really like to visit you and your new boyfriend, Alfie. Please call me, 023 5643 7393. Love, Mum."

I rolled my eyes and placed the card under my leg.

Don't get me wrong. I love my mother. I really do. But we just didn't get along, she was rude, judgmental, and shallow. All she cared about was looks, which explains her many botox appointments. I was going to call her yes. However, I wasn't sure if I wanted her to visit.
