You were fast asleep in bed while a huge thunderstorm was raging outside. Your husband was tossing and turning in his sleep. You sit up and listen to his cries then he wakes up and sits up when a crack of thunder wakes him. He whimpers and looks at you with tears in his eyes. "Hey it's ok Buddy" you say as you reach over to pull him close to you once he's in your safe embrace he's shaking as he buries his head against your shoulder shaking and whimpering every time there's a flash of lightning and crack of thunder. The girls are fast asleep in sleeping bags next to your bed. (You don't want them to get into the habit of sleeping on your bed between you and Keith) you frown as you hold him close. "It's ok baby it's ok calm down shh shh" he whimpers and cries shaking from fear.
20 minutes later
Finally the rain was slowing down and there was no thunder or lightning anymore just the rain. Keith relaxes in your arms as you hold him. Once he's calm he pulls away from your embrace and lays down. You sigh as you lay down too. Then he falls asleep you smile as you watch him sleep happy that he's calm you close your eyes and fall asleep too listening to the sound of the rain.
