Keith groaned as he sat next to to you before he went out to host the CMA Awards. He had been feeling sick the last few days and he still wasn't 100% better.
But he had said he felt well enough to do his part in hosting the CMAs.
He was waiting to go on stage and start the show.
A few minutes later.
Keith goes onstage to start the show looking miserable, bags under his eyes, he's sweaty and pale, his voice sounding sickly.
Yet he powers through and does his best to do a good job.
Later on.
He performs a few songs and manages to make it through without a coughing fit.
As soon as he's back to host.
He's coughing in between sentences and taking lots of water breaks.
The fans seem concerned as well as a few of his close friends.
He assures them he's ok and works through how bad he feels.
At the next break he takes medicine for the symptoms he's feeling and he feels well enough to continue the rest of the show.
Once the show is over.
You take Keith home and he heads up to shower and change into pajamas.
Then he takes more medicine and water.
He collapses into bed and immediately falls asleep.
Once your ready for bed you join him and cuddle his feverish body and soon you fall asleep too.
After a few days of rest and medicine he feels much better.
