chapter 8

* this is it guys .... this is the  goodbye chapter .......... they are now 12 *

 i can't believe he  just let me go . forever .......heres what happened

" Holly we need to talk !" ross says urgently swinging my bedroom door open . I was finishing up putting on my boots to go outside . " oh , hey ross wanna come play in the snow with me " I ask him . " sure " his face brightens as if he forgot what he was talking about . haha that's my stupid best friend . I walk out of my room with  him in front of me . I close the door behind me and we run out to my backyard .while I followed behind him outside I picked up snow and balled it up secrectly . " hey ross " I smiled as he turned around to face me . I through the snowball at him and started running in the other direction . " really Holly ? your gonna get it  " he smirks and piles up a snowball . he starts to chase after me burning hot on my heels . I had no where to hide . my yard is an empty yard . should I lead him on ? oh yea . I stop running and turn around . " you win . hit me with the snowball " I smirk knowing he wouldn't do it . WRONG ! he hit me flat in the chest with the freezing powder . I narrow my eyes . " you told me to throw it " he shrugs . " since when are you listening to me " I ask folding my arms across my stomach . " since snow was involved " he smiles cheekily . " your right snow is involved " I smile patting up a huge snow ball . " you might want to block a certain part of yours this is gonna sting " I tell him . " 3 seconds go " I add. he looks at me dumbfounded . 1...2...3 ! . I hit him where no man should want to be hit . he shriveled down into the snow . " hey I warned you" I shrugged. " what up with the violence " he asked . " I said I warned you " I make a 'W' with my arms . suddenly a snow ball hits my leg ." okay I deserved that " I laugh . I walk over to him and bend down next to him . " you okay now " I ask him . he nods and stands up . " good " I scoop up more snow and hit him . " your just asking for beating aren't you " he asks scooping up snow . " that's the thing ross . im not asking " I stick out my toung and shoot another snowball . he shoots one back hitting me on my arm . " ow " I stick out my lip before throwing another one aiming at his chest . it sadly got his stomach . " gonna have to do better than that " he says opening his loud mouth . " please im not even trying " I smirk whipping another one . " then try " he shrugs . " I will if you want to have another cold sensation on your hidden part " I cock my head . his eyes widen . " no im good , just keep throwing like a sissy " he shakes his head rapidly . " just for calling me a sissy , your gonna die " I shoot one hard at him , hitting his face . " hahhahahaha" I laugh at him . " you suck chicken potato's " he frowns . " and you suck flying whales " I laugh . " while im not the one that farts squirls " he laughs at his stupid comeback . " Scooby doo " I smile . he cracks up even harder . " hey wanna sled down the big hill by the water fall in the woods back there " I ask pointing to the woods behind my house . " sure " he nods . " go get your sled mines in the shed " I tell him he nods and I run off in the shed to find mine . a few minutes later we meet up together and walk deep into the snowy forest . " so what are your new years resaloutions " I ask him since yesterday was new years . " to be clean and keep my awesomeness " he says fleing his non-exsistant guns . I put his arm down . " I'm sorry , but . you have already lost both of those things . wait you can't lose what you never had . never mind . you can still be clean , but I doubt that will happen " I say putting one of my arms on his shoulder ,a nd dramitially fake cry . " whatever . what were yours " he asks shaking my arm of his shoulder . " oh , mister lynch backing out so easy . are you ill or something " I ask him . " no why " he asks as we approach the steep tall hill we were gonna sled down . " you never give up that easy " I tell him placing my sled down . " im just brain racked . I can't remember something that was super important " he frowns . " you have all day it's not like your leaving anytime soon " I shrug positioning myself on my sled . " I guess your right ." he smiles and creeps on his sled like me . " ready ? " I ask him . he nods . I put down my red goggles and count . " 1 ....." I start . " 2 ......" ross continues . " 3 !!!!!!!" we yell and push ourselves down the hill . with full force and super wind power we rocketed through the forest , dodging every obsticale in our way . we whipped down at full speed going as fast as light . we finshed down the hill after about 50 seconds with 9 seconds to spare . " that was supercalifragilisticAWESOMENESS !!!!" I scream throwing my hands up . ross fists pumps the air in victory . " lets go AGAIN !!!" he shouts as if he was the 5 year old I met . which he is . I nod and we scramble up the hill with all energy we could . as soon as we made it up we quickly positioned our selves again . down we went soaring through every tree in sight . the feeling that felt so alive in both of us tingled through our bodies as the snow crunched and flew backwards hitting our faces . we go at least 10 more times until " ross mentions the word snowman . we again stumble up the hill but this time to make parson brown . we piled up all the snow in the center of the yard , scraping up until we saw grass . we shaped it in a sort of kinda ball form thing . it was exact but it was good enough . we built it really high so it was a small and skinny version of a mountain . then we shaped it . we knocked of a little snow not gonna lie . we built the curves of the snowman to give it , it's shape . ofcourse we made the middle one medium sized and the head small . the regular way to make a snowman . it didn't look right when we finished . it was slanted and messy . but nothing in life is perfect . I stuck 2 rocks for eyes and a small bendy straw as a mis-formed mouth . " wait here ima get a carrot " ross smiled and started running to his house . " I have no where else to go " I call after him . I sit down in the snow and wait for him . I watch the beautiful gray sky turn darker bit by bit as the night started to show our a little bit . it was 5 pm anyways . I sat for a little while . made a snow angle . watched 2 birds fight over a leaf , very entertaining might I say . finally the familiar blonde cam bace holding a carrot . " does it take so long to get a carrot " I ask . " sorry my mom told me to dry off before I came in, then riker asked me to help him with something . then rydel asked about her hair if she should dye it and so yea ....." he trailed off . " well stick it on the mis shaped creation we spent a bunch of time on . he nodded and I got out of his way . he forcefully jammed the carrot in the nose slot . but the head feel off to the touch . you should see ross's face right now . it's hilarious . it's mixed with sorrow , constipation , and realization . I would take a picture , but you could never see it . it's priceless . just priceless . I START BUSTING OUT LAUGHING . "I-it just . it just fell over . I-it just . aww " he says softly " yes , ross , yes it did " I giggle . he starts to laugh at himself for his dorky , clumseyness . yes I am aware of my unproper grammer , don't judge me !!!!! . I am only 12 . "ALRIGHT GUYS TIME TO COME INSIDE AND WARM UP IT'S GETTING LATE OUTSIDE " mom yells to us through our screen door . " okay ma were coming " I tell her . she nods and leaves the door open for us to enter the heated house . " take your shoes off and leave them on the door mat , no need to track snow in the house . " mom tells us . I untie my combat boots and lay the on the mat along with my coat . ross does the same and we enter the living room where Hannah is watching cartoons . Haley is upstairs in her room because she is grounded . she told mom she wanted to live with aunt Elisabeth and our cousin Eric in New York because we don't have much fun here . in her opinion not mine . I love it here . with ross . with the lynches . this is home . I love it with my best friends beside me . and that will never ever change . and I know that for a fact . " Holly why don't you change into something warm real quick . I will start a fire and make some coco and cookies for you guys okay " mom tells me . I nod and run upstairs to my room . I close and lock the door so ross doesn't open up on me and change into my snowflake blue fuzzy pants and a white long sleave t-shirt that says stay beautiful on it . I comb down my hair from it's rightful poney tail and add some fuzzy socks . once im nice and warm I go back downstairs where ross is cuddled up by the fire . " one more thing Holly . give this to Haley , tell her even though she is grounded she still shouldn't miss out on my famous cookies and coco " mom tells me with a wink . I wink back , making her laugh and walk back up the wooden spiral steps up to Haley's room .I knock on her door . " who is it " she asks . " it's me Holly " I tell her . " what do you want " her voice gets cold . " look I have no idea why your mad at everyone but I have ma's famous cookies and coco . " I tell her . " I am grounded remember " she spats . " that doesn't mean you can miss out on once in a life time good cooking from mom . her cooking has gone down hill but her cookies and coco are still amazing " I tell her setting down the red tray that hold the warm chocolate chip cookies and hot coco mug . I shake the door but only to find it locked . " I don't want any " she scowels . " I am leaving them outside your door . if you want them get them , if you don't then don't . I love you Haley . and I never said I was against you on wanting to leave . personally I love it here , but I still love you even though you want to move . I get it you want your space but you don't have to act like you lost everything and it made you cold , mom  didn't raise us to be that way " I growel back . I start to walk away . "WAIT ! HOLLY " she calls for me . she opens her door , " im sorry " she frowns . " well good , now eat up , I have to go back downstairs before we both get into trouble " I tell her . " I love you " she smiles faintly . " love you to " I smile . " HOLLY  YOU BETTER NOT BE TALKING TO HALEY " mom calls ." im not . I just got out of the bathroom " I call back down . " I gotta go " I walk back downstairs and cozy up by the fire and drink my hot coco .. " ross , dear , your mother has called you home . glad you could stay but she says it's urgent " mom tells ross . " bye ross see you tomorrow " I hug him goodbye and watch him leave . " and you 2 girls need to go to bed also " mom says reffering to me and anna . " good night ma " we hug and kiss her good night and go up to bed . " night anna " . " night Holly . " we enter our bedrooms and as soon as my head hits the pillow im out like a light .

BEEP ! BEEP ! BEEP !  my alarm clock goes . well at lease it has a snooze button un like Haley and Hannah . I sit up and look around my room . the Colorado sun was shining in my room imprinting the floor with gold . I know over exaggerating right ? yea well I don't care . I stretch my arms out and flip back my covers letting my feet make contact with the cold wooden floor .I walk downstairs to see everybody around the table eating breakfast . " why am I always the last one to wake up " I ask . " as your mind I cant read it " Hannah shrugs . " eww its Holly " henry and Harvey scoff . " eww it's bugger 1 and bugger2 " I stick out my toung they may be 5 but the are worse than you think . at least you don't live with them . I pour some cereal and orange juice and eat up . after I finish I place my dishes in the sink and go upstairs to change into something warm . I end up wearing a black and white stripped V-neck sweater with long skinny light blue jeans and my brown ugs . I put on my bright red lether coat and open my window , taking in the nip of the Colorado air . I see an orange slip of paper attached to ross's window and with my curiosity I climb over to it to see that it was a note left for me . no . this is a joke right . you can't be serious !!!!! HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO ME !!!!

dear holly ,

we had our fun times . we had the best childhood ever , thankyou so much for giving me the best experience in Littleton . I remembered what I had to tell you but it was to late too let you know . I know you will hate me , but I have moved to Colorado . I am pursueing my dream with my family . I will never be able to replace you Holly , your one of a kind .

he's gone forever . and I didn't even get to say goodbye . a tear slid down my cheek I looked up to the window of the house that used to be the lynches . now everything I loved and ever wanted is gone .

so guys how did you like the goodbye chapter ? it was as dramatic as I wanted it to be this is only my 2nd book so no judging . okay so from now until the end are the book itself . the other chapters were kid of the history so you could get the feels of the book . the drama of ross leaving . although it was as drama filled I I hope you liked it and keep reading . remember to post feedback so I can hear your takes on my story thank you
