THIRD PERSON POV
Class 1-A was split up into 4 groups and were distributed among the 4 upperclassmen. Every hour, the groups rotated to the instructor.
Yoichi Hiruma was in charge of mental warm-ups, using his quirk to warp the students' minds and force them to use thier quirks to escape it. He had a lot of fun of the skittish ones of the group. The tougher ones he enjoyed tormenting.
Kazuya Miyuki instructed the more simple physical excerises, like ladder stepping and ball throwing. He used his quirk to give a precise calculation on how each student's quirk worked and how they acquired it to the excerise, while also giving them abstract tips on how they can improve, though it was so calculated, the students couldn't really comprehend, which was fun for Miyuki.
Hitoka Yachi got the easy job of timing students' lap times around the track. Using their quirks, some got finish in a few seconds, others a few minutes.
And last, Karma Akabane was in command of combat. His only job was to dodge their every attempt and give them one good hit or two to the back before the next student tries.
Is that the best you got?" Akabane smirked as he continuous dodged at the speed of light while attacking from behind. Bakugo and a fellow student Kirishima, whose quirk was Hardening, gritted their teeth. No matter what they tried, they couldn't even get a foot close to him.
"Too bad." Akabane sighed obnoxiously. "Next rotation!"
Asuna was in the same group as Todoroki, Uraraka, and Deku. Out of the three of them, Deku seemed to be the only one struggling with the Physical Exam. She hadn't even seen him use his quirk yet. Todoroki actually two quirks that he showed off during the lap around the court, using Ice from his right side to skate faster, and then melting it with his left when he was through. Uraraka exceeded the ball throw with her Anti-Gravity quirk—the ball never landed. Asuna decided to take this time to get to know everyone.
"So," She started. "This is a bit intense." Everyone nodded, however Todoroki seemed to be the only one who was calm, which Asuna didn't blame him; the guy was super capable of taking the top spot in the class. Heck, he got a recommandation from the school itself.
"I can't believe they're going to expell the person who comes in last in the class..." Uraraka sighed, which set Deku a little on edge. "What is it, Deku?" Asuna asked. Deku's head whipped to her. "Did you just call me 'Deku'?"
She nodded. "That's your name, right? That's what Bakugo called you." Deku scratched the back of his head with an uneasy smile. "Yeah, well, my real name is Izuku Midoriya. Kacchan just calls me that to make fun of me...ever since grade school..."
"That's awful." Asuna apologized and then smiled. "That's too bad. Deku seemed to really fit you, and besides it sounds cute, too."
"Oh, can I call you Deku, too!?" Uraraka jumped in.
"Deku, it is!" He declared immediately.
Todoroki's jaw dropped slightly. "But didn't you just say, Midoriya, that—"
"NEXT!" Miyuki called to Deku, who yelped before stepping up for the ball throw. He seemed to be totally focused on this warm-up than he was on the other ones. He grasped the ball and with a determined face, he chucked m
over his head. A spark of energy shot through his index finger, sending the ball sky high.Everyone had stopped what they were doing to witness such a throw. Uraraka clapped her hands excitedly, while Asuna rubbed her arms from chills.
What a cool quirk...and that was only his finger.
Then, Asuna noticed that the finger he used was broken.
Well, no wonder why he hasn't been using it...still, how did he manage to pass the entrance exam if he breaks even a finger when using his quirk?
The most shocked out of everyone was Bakugo, which surprised Asuna since she knew they've known each other since they were little.
DEKU, YOU BASTARD!!!" he shouted to the top of his lungs. "WHAT KIND OF CRAP ARE YOU PULLING?!?!" He started to charge towards Deku, before Asuna instinctly sent a wall of air in his path, where he smashed into head-on. He collasped on the ground, holding his face. "What the hell..." he moaned and eyed Asuna with a death glare.
Mr. Aizawa stepped forward with his arms crossed. "That's enough. We don't use quirks on other students unless during an assigned excerise. The Physical Exam is over. Let's look at the results."
A screen reflected above him where everybody could see their names. Deku bit his bottom lip as he spotted his name in the last place slot. "This can't be happening..." he whimpered. "Does this really mean...I'm..."
"No." Asuna said. "This was a bluff, right, Mr. Aizawa?" She glared straight into her secret guardian's dark eyes. Mr. Aizawa cracked a smile. "Of course."
Everyone's jaw dropped and Deku almost fainted at the relieving news. Asuna sucked in a breath. "Jeez, you shouldn't scare us like that on the first day of school."
The four upperclassmen were laughing so hard that they were basically rolling on the ground.
"He did that to us our first year!" Hitoka wiped a tear from her eye.
"It seemed only fair that you got that pleasure, too." Miyuki commented.
"You should've seen your faces! Especially you, Midoriya!" Hiruma and Akabane laughed in unison, holding their stomachs and keeling over.
Mr. Aizawa clapped his hands together once. "Alright, that's it for today. I hope you all learned something, because it's only going to get harder from here."
