Finn walked home alone. He figured his parents didn't care. Millie went on the bus with Noah. While he walked, he was consumed in his own thoughts. He couldn't believe how close to Millie he had gotten over a period of a couple weeks! It felt like he had known her his whole life, ever since the day they met. Today was also one of the happiest days of his life. He thought he would be that one person at the dance with no one to go with. Well, that was before he met Millie. He really liked her, and he was so happy that he could make her happy. He smiled at he memory of Millie's overjoyed face when he had asked her to go to the high-school prom that afternoon. He smiled. Oh my god! He thought as he entered his driveway. He forgot to tell Noah Millie's answer!! Finn was so exited to tell him. He sprinted inside and threw his backpack on the floor, not caring where it landed. Unfortunately, he was called back by his mother. "Yes, mother?" He asked annoyed. She raised her eyebrows at him. "Don't you give me an attitude Finn Wolfhard! Please unpack your backpack! I'm not your maid." Finn sighed. His mom made him unpack his bag every day and it drove him insane. What was the point of unpacking when your just going to re-pack it in the morning? He hurriedly unpacked it. He took out his limp black sweatshirt (which his mom also made him pack not matter how much Finn insisted that 'he wasn't going to get cold.') and threw it on the coat rack by the door. He took out his school notes for parents and threw them on the table, the majority of them slipping off the table, swaying back and forth until they rested on the ground. He kept his homework in his backpack, and his backpack with him as he rushed upstairs to his room, ignoring his moms aggravated sigh.
