Millie got up happy as ever, like she did every day now. She got right out of bed and skipped downstairs. "Morning dad!" She said to her dad. Millie's dad smiled and hugged her. "Morning Mills!" Millie still couldn't talk normally yet, she talked as if she was in a library. She didn't whisper, but didn't quite talk either. Millie didn't care, she was glad she could just talk. She would get there. Millie and her dad had gone to the doctor and he had been blown away. He was stumped, which made Millie talking even more incredible. "Dad, I think I should tell you what got me to talk," Millie randomly blurted it out. Her dad walked her over to the couch and they say down. "Ok!" He said. Millie took a deep breath. Her dad wasn't to keen on Millie with boys, so she just had to see how this would go. "Well, I met this boy at school, Finn. He is my best friend and he invited me to the snow ball as his date and I said yes and I don't know why I talked hit that's what made me talk, him." Millie left out the part about them saying 'I love you' to each other, her dad wouldn't have liked that at all. Surprisingly, her dad smiled and held her hand. "Millie, whatever made you talk is a miracle, and so you deserve to be with him. I have no problem with that." Millie let out the breath she had been holding in. "Thank you dad!!" She said, hugging him. Her dad then out his hand on her chin and said something he had never even spoke of after her mothers death: "your mother would be so proud. She is proud." Tears gathered in both of their eyes. Happy tears.

Millie met Sadie, Noah, Gaten Caleb and Finn at an ice cream stand later that day. They did it to celebrate Millie talking. Millie only talked in front of her freinds and family now, she still wouldn't talk to strangers or her teachers yet. So, Finn ordered for Millie, and Gaten payed for everyone. Millie got her favorite kind of ice cream, mint chocolate chip. They sat at a picnic table eating when Millie said; "hey guys, I have to tell you something." Everyone looked at her expectantly. "Well, I'm just going to say it: Jo Jo and I are friends." Everyone stared. "I know it's weird," Millie continued. "But we used to be best friends when we were little, then for some reason she started hating on me, and we drifted apart. Now, we realized we still have a connection, so I'm going to be hanging with her more." Her friends nodded.
"We support you Millie," Noah said. Millie smiled. "Thanks Noah. I've never been able to day this for real, but you have no idea how much of an amazing friend you are. I never talked, yet you stayed with me, and your one of the only things that kept me going through the.... Darker times. Thank you, all of you." Everyone looked so touched, so they all got up and got in a group hug around Millie, and she felt so happy and lucky. "Love you guys!!" Millie said. "We love you too Mills!" Everyone said.

By the time everyone was done, everyone's parents wanted them back home. Finn and Millie lived near each other, so they would walk together. Everyone had left by the time Finn and Millie threw their napkins away. After they started walking, Millie stopped and turned to Finn. "Finn, I want to give you a special thanks. For being there for me when people were mean to me. Thank you for helping me and not laughing like most people. It's just amazing that you even love me because your so popular and I-"
"Millie," Finn cut her off. He gently put her face in his hands, and leaned his forehead against hers. "I love you because of who you are. I will always love you." Millie's felt so amazing and happy it was hard to describe. Finn leaned in and kissed Millie. Millie blushed as it happened. When they pulled away, Finn put his arm around Millie. "Shall we go home?" Millie smiled and nodded. Finn and Millie walked away, like a scene from a movie.

Heyyy! I'm so sorry these updates have been so slow! I've been so busy this summer vacation! Ill try to update faster, but they might be a bit slower since school is coming up, but I'll try to work on it almost every night!💖😘👍🏻
