Prompt: A prompt where Jin and Kai adopt their first kid? That would be super sweet :)
A.N.- I didn't realize how short this was, I'm so sorry

"I can't believe she's finally here," I said, gripping Jin's hand too tightly.
"Babies are born every day," Jin said.
"But not the baby we're going to be the parents of," I said, glaring at him. "You're nervous and you damn well know it."
He shrugged. "If she ever drinks, I'll whack her with your cane."
Jin and I had decided we wanted to expand our little family by adopted a child. After checking out our options, we found a woman who had an unplanned pregnancy and didn't want the baby. We'd covered her financially, and she was going to give us full parental rights to the baby. The baby had been born today, and we were currently in the waiting room of the hospital.
Jin was trying to act like he wasn't bothered by any of this, but I knew he'd been calling his mom frequently with questions. We'd bought parenting books, talked to Lev since he and his wife had just had their first baby, and looked up any questions we had online.
A nurse came out and I tightened my grip on Jin's hand. My mind was running over every way we could possibly ruin this child. Would Jin be able to form an emotional connection with a baby? Would I be able to properly care for a child when I was physically disabled? What if we weren't good enough?
The nurse led us into a room, where the woman we'd been speaking with was resting. She had pulled a curtain around her bed and gestured to it.
"She's on the other side," she said.
We walked around to where a nurse was tending to the baby. She noticed us and lifted the baby into her arms.
"The mother told us she was letting you two name the baby," she said. "The birth went smoothly and the baby is healthy."
She came over and Jin looked surprised as she placed the baby in his arms. The baby was wrapped in a blanket, fast asleep.
Jin sat down and I sat next to him, looking at her. God, she was beautiful.
"We're...We're going to raise her," I said in quiet disbelief. "Shit, Jin, we're going to raise a baby."
Jin cradled her gently in his arms. "We're going to raise her right."
"We're going to try our best," I said.
Jin gazed down at her, reaching up and carefully pulling the blanket away from her chin. "I want her to stay pure as snow."
"We're not naming her Winter or some cliché shit," I said, glaring at him. "Your white hair was enough of a metaphor."
He shook his head. "We agreed on Nora. I think it fits her."
"It does," I said, reaching out and lightly running my finger along her soft cheek. "Nora Theresa." I looked over and raised an eyebrow. "Jin, are you smiling?"
"Shut up," he said, but the little smile stayed on his face. "Kai, I hope you know I'll kill any kid who's mean to our daughter."
I put my arm around his waist, leaning against him. "I'll help you bury the body where it won't be found."
He passed the baby into my arms. The smile spread on my face and I turned, kissing Jin's cheek.
"We're parents," I said.
He shrugged. "Yea."
But he rested his head against mine, reaching out to put his hand on the baby's blanket. We had started our family with our daughter, and we'd both give our lives to spare her from the tragedies we'd endured growing up. Maybe we wouldn't be the best parents in the world, but we'd be the best parents we possible could be to our daughter.
