Dear Dumb Diary

So I'm trying to solve a murder. I've already taken the photos of the POCS. (Place Of Crime Scene, but POCS sounds cooler) I only need to interrogate the suspects.

Liz is preparing the interrogation room, so we'll start tomorrow morning. I-

"James Brown!" I close the book as soon as the teacher said my name. "Bring that paper here."

I take the paper which I've been doing my Maths calculations on and hand it to her. She scans over the paper as if she wasn't believing her eyes. She gives it back to me, "Sit down." She said, and I obey.

I was getting bored, and my homework was finished because I have a late shift today. So, I read a bit. Mostly she talked about her friend Liz, and her investigations. I'm assuming it's not real because I can't count all of them.

It's not real crimes, just broken stuff, lost pets, and stolen items. She must've been younger when she wrote it. There are also photos of the crimes. I think it's nice of her to help other people.

As she was getting older some of the crimes got more serious. I couldn't exactly always figure out what she means. She's a girl after all.

She hasn't talked to me since yesterday when I yelled at her. I still feel really guilty about it, and I've been thinking about what I should do to make it up to her, but nothing.

I couldn't think of anything.

I spend most of yesterday just trying to find a way to say sorry. It isn't easy, because I can't find the guts to say it to her.

Then also I don't know what to say to her. She probably won't accept it, it was so mean of me to yell at her. I just wish that I thought for a second before I did that, but I guess I was really angry.

Not particular at her, but also my parents. They seem to ruin your day when they fight, but they were in such a good mood this morning.

Mom likes Bailey, I could see it the way she smiled at me when I came into the kitchen. I know what she was thinking, like 'ask her out' or 'she's so cute'. Ugh, well she is the first girl- accept Stacy- that's been inside my house.

But I didn't even invite her in, so that doesn't count, does it? No, it doesn't. She is just someone who wants help on changing. And she was just at my house to give me a ride to school. Nothing else.

"Hey James, what's wrong?" Jasper asks me as I poked my food at lunch.

"Nothing, just thinking."

"Is it the girl?" That's how good your best friend can read your mind. I nod.

"I don't know how to apologize." I felt dumb saying this to Jasper because like I said before girls and I don't have history.

"Just say it to her face." I chuckled. "If you really want to you can buy her a peace offering." I've thought about that too, but the only problem is, what do you buy her?

"Chocolates, chicks dig chocolates," Trent said, stealing fries from Stacy's plate without her realizing it. Stacy nods while writing down something.

"It's true, but you still owe her an apology." She said slamming Trent's hand and taking a fry.

"Okay, and where do I get the chocolates?" Stacy hands me a wrapped gift.

"I've thought you might need it." I gave her a hug.

"Thanks, Stace." I'll pay her back another time. She really is a good friend, and if you haven't noticed, she is my only female friend. Stacy prefers boy's company over girl's.

She says that girls gossip way too much, (even though she is doing the school's paper) and boys are just cooler and easier to talk with. Whatever that means, I wouldn't understand Stace anyway. She is definitely a special friend. In a good way, in a cool way. Like when you cry, but in a cool way. Okay, nevermind.

"Go get her tiger!" Trent said slapping my behind. I almost shrieked like a girl, but I was used to Trent by now.

Now I just have to find her. Maybe I should write her a note and leave it in her locker? I walk down the hallway and she was standing at her locker, but she wasn't alone. She was talking to Parker.

I think all the color drained from my face when I saw that. I realy really really really really really really don't like Parker, and they're having a civilized conversation? I think I might barf.

He waved and walked on. I slowly walked to her locker while she searched through her locker. "Hey," I said softly.

"Hi." She slammed her locker, well closed it. I hand her the box. "What's this?" She asks quirking an eyebrow.

"A peace offering?" She smiles. "Look, I didn't mean to yell. It wasn't fair of me, you were just trying to help. So, here." She takes it.

"Thanks?"

"Pleasure. So, did stage one happen, did it not happen?" She nods.

"I did my homework yesterday." I gave her a high five. "But I'm sucking at the rest." She folded her arms.

"It's okay, I don't think it happens overnight." She nods. "So... Parker Adams?" I said raising an eyebrow.

"Oh yeah, he also just apologized about everything." Huh, I would like to see him apologize for anything. Oh wait, she said he just apologized. I don't believe it, pigs can fly. Man, I've waited for this day.

"What day?" Do I have to say everything out loud?

"I just wish that pigs can fly." She laughed and I joined in, feeling kinda embarrassed.

"You have a weird way of saying sorry." She giggled. "Okay, okay." She tried to calm down her laughter. "See you in English." She said walking away, and then the bell rang.

Was it just the chocolate talking, or did she just forgive me so quickly? It was funny, but I was just trying to say sorry.

It was weird when she said that Parker apologized because he never does. Someone needs to put him in his place, and Bailey is the perfect person for that job.

Well, I don't care who it is, as long as he learns a lesson or two, I'll be fine.
