I spend most of my night studying and doing homework, but as usual, they fought again.

I woke up drenched in water, I rub my eyes and put my glasses on. "Morning neighbor, wouldn't want to be late, would we?" Bailey was standing over me, with a big smile on her face, holding a now empty bucket.

"H-how did you get in?"

"Your mom." She said walking to my door. "Well, come on. We leave in 5." Five? As in five minutes? Oh Gooseberry, not again.

I sprung out of bed and quickly got dressed. I packed my backpack and went to the kitchen. Dad was reading his newspaper, mom and Bailey were talking while they both ate breakfast.

I noticed Bailey is still wearing her old clothes, so that's good. Maybe she forgot about yesterday? Well, I don't mind.

This isn't a normal morning for me. "Morning," I said as I pour some coco-puffs into a bowl and started munching on it.

"Morning." Everyone greeted. "Bailey was just telling me how helpful you are since she's the new kid in school." Mom said, handing me my lunch.

I guess today must be special since she packed me food. "Yes Mrs. Brown, he's such a dear." My mom placed a hand on her heart.

"Aw thanks, Bailey," They talked for a while, while I finished my cereal. "I think you kids better get going." Mom gave me a kiss on the forehead and Bailey a hug.

We were walking to her motorcycle, "Your parents ain't that bad you know." I let out a groan. "I'm serious, I'm sure they can work it out." I ignored her and just climbed onto the bike.

As soon as we got into the school's parking, I jumped off. I don't want to be seen with her. People will just judge, they always do. And then the rumors will spread like a wildfire.

Jasper was leaning against my locker talking to Stacy. I just pack all my books in while they talked. "We heard about it," Trent said walking to me.

"About what?" I said turning around.

"Hottie giving you a ride and the milkshake incident. I. Want. Details."

"There isn't more," I said rolling my eyes. I'm not in the mood for this.

"Oh come on James, we know there's more to the story," Stacy said. "I also want the juicy details for the paper."

"Nothing. Happened. Okay?" I said, turning around and walking to Mr. Anderson's class. I need to talk to him. He's not only my father, but he always listens to what I have to say.

I walked into his class and he was reading some book. "James, hi." He said.

"Hey, can I... talk to you?" He put his book down.

"Sure, what is it?" He said folding his arms.

"Well, you know the new girl Bailey Gibson?" He nods. "Well, I kindaswitchedbookswithherandnowIhaveherdiary." I let out a breath.

"Woah, how did that happen?"

"We bumped into each other and dropped books, then accidentally switched. What do I do?" He places a finger under his chin. "I've thought about giving it back to her, but how?"

"Yeah, she'll be freaking mad at you when you return it, so just don't."

"What?" I gaped.

"Read it. Burn it. Sell it. Just don't give it to her, you know what happens in movies when you do. Maybe you get to know her a bit better if you read it." I let out a sigh.

He wasn't totally wrong, because she'll twist me into a man-pretzel if she finds out. So I'll keep it as long as I can.

"Okay, thanks."

"No problem, how's home?" I nod.

"This morning was better." I stood up and walked back to my locker. I took out the book just before the bell rang and started walking to my next class.

It won't kill me if I just had a peek, and besides Mr. Anderson said that I'll get to know her better.

Dear Dumb Diary

We're moving in a month, again. I wonder where our next house will be. Antarctica? I always wanted to live with penguins.

Brad asked me out on a date. I hate dates. I hate boys. I hate love. So I said no.

Anyway... we're going to visit-

"Watch where you're going J-J-James." Parker shoved me. Parker Adams, the number one popular guy in our school. Every girl wants to date him, and every guy wants to be him, except me.

If there's one person that's on my 'kill list' (not that I have one) it's him. He wasn't always my bully. We were friends, but that was like twelve years ago.

"Watch where you're going, monkeybutt." Bailey said behind me. I quickly picked up my books. Hopefully, she didn't see her diary.

He scoffed, "Looks like Jamie needs a girl to fight his fights for him." Bailey shoved him.

"What's your problem?" She said, her voice full of anger. She grabbed him on his collar.

"N-nothing." He shuttered.

"That's what I thought." She lets go of his shirt, "Get out of my face." She said and he bolted. "Isn't he a meanie?" I ignore her and walk on. "Hey," she said bumping our shoulders.

"J-just leave me." She looks at me with her confused face. "I d-don't need you to always stand up for me."

"I was just trying to be nice."

"W-well just leave me." She grabbed my arm and my jacket's sleeves rose and she stared down at my arm, I quickly covered it. I started walking again.

"Neigh-"

"I said leave me!" I yelled and that sure caught the whole hallway's attention. "S-sorry." I apologized and walked on to Chemistry.

Jasper knew I wasn't in a good mood as soon as I walked into class and didn't bother me. Which I was thankful for. I wanted to read her diary, to find something, anything useful.

But decided against it, because my attention wasn't on her diary.

All I could think of, was her face when I yelled at her. I didn't mean to, but I'm not used to all that attention. Well, I'm used to the bullying, but not the part where Bailey comes in.

I shouldn't have yelled at her. I feel so stupid now.

The look on her face, was in my thoughts the entire day, and I don't know how I felt about it.
