James

"You've been smiling like an idiot for the past fifteen minutes. I guess someone had a nice weekend?" Jasper said.

I blushed. "Oo who's this special lady?" Stacy said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Who said it was a person, it could be food?" Trent commented while he nodded, but everyone just stared at him. "What?" He asked, shrugging.

"Of course it's a person," Stacy said in a duh-tone.

"It's probably Bailey again." They all nodded. I shook my head. "Don't deny it bro."

"Jasper it's not Bailey, it's no one." Trent patted my back.

"Whatever you say, Jamie." He stood up. "Stace, if I recall you promised me lunch?" She rolled her eyes, but nevertheless stood up and left.

I was silent, just eating my food and looking at random people when Jasper cleared his throat. "So? Who is it then?"

I saw Bailey walking inside the cafeteria. I couldn't read her, but how I wish I could read minds. "Carter," I whispered. Jasper frowned.

"Whose that?" Did I forget to tell him about Carter? Oops.

"Why don't we invite her over and you can get to meet her?" He smirked. "I mean like just so that you can get to know her. Well, we're going on a date this weekend so maybe I should invite her over today?"

"Sounds perfect." The bell rang and I want to make it past Bailey's table before she notices me. "So what's Carter like?"

"Why'd you wanna know?" Bailey said standing in front of us. Jasper shrugged.

"I don't see a reason why I shouldn't wanna know." He mocked her.

"Feisty." She stared at me. "Lisa invited you over for dinner." Bailey disappeared in front of me.

"Man I hate that girl," Jasper mumbled.

"Don't hate Jasper." He rolled his eyes.

"Then how do you not?"

My mom and dad looked all groomed up and I was not believing my own eyes. We were starting to be like a normal family.

Mom couldn't stop talking about this dinner, and it started to irritate me. Dad on the other hand just played it cool, but he didn't say a thing to calm her. "Chill ma," I told her.

She let out a shaky breath and nodded. My dad rang the doorbell and shortly after the door opened.

"Hello!" Lisa engulfed us with hugs and lets us in. "Oh James, I've missed having you around."

"I missed being here." She smiled.

"Aw, Bailey is in her room." She pointed upstairs and motions for me to go. I heard them all started talking and made my way to her room.

I didn't really wanna be here. It was a little weird between us now. I knocked and she mumbles something, which I open the door.
