3rd POV
The man on the floor crumpled, coughing blood while another one kept on kicking him.
The torcher went on for hours, the man's eyes were swollen, lips burst and body bruised. His ribs are broken and fractured and he was in and out of consciousness.
"That's enough." A female voice said.
The man passed out and the female ordered the other to take him away. "Welcome back, I must say, I'm impressed." Another man walked into the room.
"I did what you asked me to do Alexander." She said.
"Good. Now I have another job for you to do-"
"No." She interrupted him. "First you pay then you give me a new task. You made a promise." Alexander nodded.
"I always keep my promises, I'll let you know when it's done." He rubbed his hands. "Now, I have this guy that has not been giving me my money. Can you by any chance take him out?" She got a very unsettled feeling in her stomach.
That wasn't part of the deal. She was regretting it, but she didn't have any other choice. Still, it wasn't an option.
"You know very well that I don't kill." Alexander was very disappointed, he thought that she would do anything for him, but he was wrong.
"Then I want you to target his family. You don't have to kill them, just warn and threaten them. Maybe keep the boy hostage?" She thought about it for a second. He showed her a photo of the family.
They looked so happy, she can't ruin their lives by taking away their father. Even hurting him will scar them. She isn't willing to do that.
"The poor family." She said without thinking.
"Since when do you care? I thought you always do what needed to be done? What happened?" She shook her head holding the photo in her hand. I can't. She thought to herself.
"What do I get in return?" Alexander smirked.
"What you've always wanted." He walked up behind her and whispered in her ear. "That perfect little family." She nodded and he left the room.
A tear unwillingly rolled down her cheek. She was broken. She couldn't take any more of it, but what choice does she have. It's either kill or get killed. But she quickly wiped it away.
Alexander is a wicked man but is nothing compared to his father. His father. Just thinking about him made a shiver run down her spine. The cold-hearted, ruthless, sick bastard who is the world's biggest psychopath.
But deep down she felt sorry for Alexander. He was changing by the day, he isn't the boy that she remembered. He's turning into his father.
A killer.
Speaking of the devil, he came walking in with a tray in his hand. "Eat." He places it on the table.
"I'm not hungry." He was already fuming and now she is disobeying him, who does she think she is?
"I said eat." He said in a low voice.
"And I said I'm not hungry, what don't you understand Jason?" He smacked the tray off the table.
"Don't call me by name and eat your *add in curse word* food!" He yelled at her. She wasn't intimidated by him anymore. She was used to it. She brushed off his comments.
He grabbed her hair and slammed her face into the food, "When I say eat. I mean it!" He pulled her hair making her wince in pain.
She still didn't move.
Jason took the fork in his hand and forced the food to her mouth. "Eat!" He kept on screaming. Nothing helped, then a sudden idea came into his head. "If you don't eat, you can forget about that deal. I'll make sure you get what you deserve." She froze. "So, where were we?"
She took the fork and started eating. She knew he wasn't lying, he was serious and that made her afraid.
"Good girl." She kept on eating. "Alexander told me you found the man that stole money from me." She nodded. "Good job." He patted her head. "I must say, looks like he's been in my hands." She wanted to force the fork down his throat so badly.
"Did he tell you about your new assignment?" She nodded. "Did he tell you about the consequences?" She ignored him and kept on eating. "Look at me when I'm talking to you."
"I don't kill."
"You'll just have to make an exception." He took her chin in his hand. She so badly wanted to punch him. "You're so beautiful." She flinched away. "You could've been happy."
Jason always cared for her, he almost had an obsession with her. Even though she is the reason why he was in jail, didn't matter to him. After all, he is a psycho.
"I was." She mummers.
"Did you say something?" Jason asked her. She shook her head, "That bastard just had to ruin everything, didn't he?"
He played with her hair while she tried to finish the awful food. "I'll see you later. Be a good girl."
She tried to think of a plan to escape, but it's useless. Jason has his men everywhere. They'll kill her without thinking twice.
She's tried plenty of times to escape, but every time Jason managed to punish her in all the ways possible. She's never felt this used in her entire life.
Although she is highly trained and very skilled she just can't get away from him. He has threatened her with everything and anything she had.
Jason has killed many before, he will do it again since it's second nature for him. He's part of a gang and unfortunately also the gang-leader. He will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants.
It's scary.
Of course, she has many doubts. If she does what she is told, will they do what they promised her or just keep her and use her again? Will she ever be free? When will it all stop? Is there something like a second chance? Can she change back to the person she was a few years ago? Is she willing to risk everything again?
She looked around the room, her room for the past year. A desk and a mattress on the floor with a toilet and one drawer for clothes. This isn't life.
She's willing to get away from him for good. Even though she might die.
But she has to do it.
For herself.
And her family.
