Chapter 17
Marshmallow
(Elsa's PoV)

Anna collapses on the ground. I hurt her but not enough that she would just go away. I am about to hit her again when someone else runs into the room. It's a boy with blonde hair. "Anna!" he yells.

I stop myself from hitting him with ice. The only person I want to hurt is Anna. No one else has to get in the way. "Are you hurt?" he asks Anna as he helps her up. What did she get rid of her "fiancé" already? I think. It seems as if she found another. "I'm fine," Anna says as she gets up.

"Who is this?" I say without thinking. "Nevermind," I quickly say before either of them answers. "You have to go," I say, mainly to the man. Anna still looks angry as she begins to back away. "Come on Kristoff. We're leaving." And just like that she walks right down the stairs.

The boy, who she called Kristoff, stays. I put my hand in front of me, threatening him with ice, but he still stays. "Leave!" I yell at him. but he still stays where he is. "No," he says, "I'm not leaving until you unfreeze Arendelle." What a stubborn man! I think.

I take it back. I hate everyone. Not just Anna or my parents. What could I do to him? Then it comes to me. "Yes," I say and raise my hand, "you are." Then I shoot my snow and ice on the ground. The snow begins building itself up until it's taller than both of us. Soon a gigantic snowman stands before us. I gave life to that other snowman. I should be able to do the same with this one!

And just as I think it, the snowman begins to advance on the boy. A look of terror spreads across his face and he turns and runs down the stairs to Anna. I smile. The monster looks back at me, as if it's waiting for permission. I nod. "Go have fun."

(Anna's PoV)
At the bottom of the stairs I wait for Kristoff. "Where is he?" I impatiently ask Olaf. To which he cheerfully replies, "I think running down the stairs," I turn around to see Kristoff nearly sprinting down the staircase. Something must be wrong. "Wow, he must be really happy to see us."

But then he yells, "Anna! Olaf! Run!" and a huge foot lands behind Kristoff. So we run. But we aren't fast enough and the monster grabs us. It throws the doors open and turns us to look at it. It's a humongous snowman. It's eyes are only empty black holes. Huge spikes stick out of its arms and back. And Elsa made it. I look at Olaf and then back at the monster.

Then it throws Kristoff and me down the ice stairs. Sven stands at the bottom of the stairs waiting for us. We land in a huge snow bank. I hear Olaf yell from the castle, "Heads up!" and his head lands in the same snow bank. Then his eyes widen,"watch out for my butt!" and his other two pieces land as well. Then the snowman turns to go back inside.

Anger surges through me. I grab some snow and form it into a snowball. "It is not nice to throw people!" I yell at the snowman. I pull my arm back, ready to swing, but Kristoff grabs it. "Hey!" he yells at me but I struggle against him. "Calm down!" I stop struggling and pretend to calm down. "Just let the snowman be!" he says.

"Ok!" I yell back, "I'm calm. I'm calm." But I'm not and I throw the snowball at the monster. It flies through the air and almost doesn't hit the snowman. With a plop the snowball lands right in its back, doing hardly any damage. The snowman turns around, looks at his shoulder where I hit him, then at me. Suddenly even bigger shards of ice shoot out of its torso, making it even more menacing than before.

"Now you made him mad," Kristoff yells at me. "You guys go," Olaf says, still stuck in the snow bank, "I'll distract him." So we run. But it doesn't take long for him to catch up.

(Elsa's PoV)
"How dare they come into MY palace and expect me to do whatever they tell me!" I yell to no one. I would expect this from Anna but any other person? I can't believe them! Just when I was starting to think they weren't all that bad.

Anger fills me and I clench my fists which makes large spikes of ice shoot from the walls. I've got to make sure the people pay for what they did to me. Especially Anna. That means I'm going to need more power. Enough to create an entire army to destroy Arendelle. There's only one place I can think to go. Back to the trolls.

(Anna's PoV)
The thumping footsteps of the monster aren't that far behind us. I try to look behind me but end up tripping over a pile of snow. Kristoff rushes over to help me up. Suddenly the giant snowman is practically on top of us. I just sit there too stunned to do anything until Kristoff grabs my arm. Then I snap back into reality.

Quickly I grab a tree that's been weighed down by snow and snap it back up at the monster. Then I run after Kristoff. I look behind me and see the monster is stopped and trying to wipe the snow from his face. "Woohoo!" I yell, "I got him!" Then Kristoff grabs hold of me again just as we are about to fall of the cliff. I look back at the snowman, now far behind us, who has almost got all the snow off his face, then back at the cliff.

"What are we going to do?" I ask Kristoff, "it's a hundred foot drop."

"It's two hundred." He replies. Then he reaches into his sack with the pick and rope. He ties the rope around me and himself. Then he runs over to a snow pile and starts making a horseshoe shape with the pick. "What are you doing?" I ask.

"Digging a snow anchor," he grunts. "Okay. So what if we fall?" I ask him. I'm more nervous than ever now that I know we are going to have to go down the mountain this way. "There's 20 feet of fresh powder down there; it'll be like landing on a pillow," to which he adds quietly, "hopefully."

Great, I think. Then a loud roar hits us. "Alright," Kristoff says, "on three."

"Alright. You just tell me when..."

"One..."

I lean out over the cliff, ready to jump. "I'm ready to go..."

"Two..."

"I was born ready!"

"Settle down." Then a tree falls down behind us so I take my chance and yell, "Tree!" and jump off the cliff dragging Kristoff with me.
