Chapter 20

The Warning

(Anna's PoV)

"They're rocks," I say in disbelief. Kristoff walks around the boulders patting them and talking to them. Olaf, who is having the same reaction leans over to me and whispers, "he's crazy. I'll distract him while you run. Hey Sven's family! It's nice to meet you." He pats a rock. I still stand there staring at Kristoff. "Why aren't you running?" Olaf hisses. I break out of my shock and turn away. "Ok, so I'm gonna go," I mumble.

"No, Anna, wait!" Kristoff yells. Suddenly the ground starts to shake. I turn back to see the boulders rolling towards Kristoff.

(Hans's PoV)

My team and I trudge back into Arendelle. "Did you find her Prince Hans?" a woman asks me. I look into her frightened eyes and tell her the truth. "I'm afraid she wasn't there. Neither was Princess Anna." The woman droops, as does everyone else that heard what I said. "Don't worry though!" I yell loud enough for everyone to hear. "We will find her, and she will be put to death."

"Thank you Prince Hans," the woman mumbles. One of my soldiers comes up to me. "What do we do now, sir?" he asks. "We return to the mountain tomorrow in hopes that she has returned as well," I reply and beginning walking towards the castle. I'm so cold I can barely feel my fingers. This weather has just gotten worse and worse since Anna left.

Suddenly some one screams. I whip my head around to see what the commotion was about. Bounding towards the town square is a giant white wolf. The closer it gets the more I can tell that it's made of snow and ice. "Everyone get inside!" one of the soldiers yells to the villagers. The crowd of people begins rushing towards me to their homes. I try to stand my ground. I can't look like a coward in front of these people if I'm going to rule them someday.

I pull out my sword and hold it out in front of me. The beast gets closer and closer until, suddenly, it stops in the middle of the square. I can feel how cold it is from ten feet away. Then it seems to laugh. A low growl followed by some hissing. It opens its mouth and speaks, not with its voice, but with the Queen's. "Citizens of Arendelle," she says, "I have sent this Frost Wolf to warn you. I will be coming back to Arendelle to reclaim what is mine. If you do not wish to die I suggest you do not interfere." Then the wolf closes its mouth and laughs one more time before collapsing into a pile of snow.

(Anna's PoV)

Kristoff's family is a lot different than I thought they would be. First off, they're trolls. They keep going on about how Kristoff and I should be together. Over and over again I try to explain to them that I'm already engaged. They even try to marry us on the spot. Everything is happy and cheerful and we almost forget why we are here. Until a sudden pain hits my chest. "Anna!" Kristoff exclaims. Another troll rolls over to us. "Let me see her," he says purposefully. Even though I can barely stand I stumble over to him.

"This is very bad," he says, holding my hand. His voice sounds strangely familiar, as if I had dreamt about it. "You have ice in your heart put there by your sister." My eyes widen. I barely mumble, "Ice? In my heart?" Before another bit of pain hits.

Yeah it's kinda short but you guys deserved an update for being awesome :) I left at the end of August with about 13k reads and came back with 99 notifications, 11 messages, and 19k reads. You're the best!!! So I left because of school starting and I didn't have enough time to be on Wattpad and all that. Tonight I decided to have a look at what was going on so here you go!
