Tori came over my house after school like she promised. When she saw me, she shook her head sighing.

"you're hopeless," she sighed and sat on the edge of my bed. "you can't let boys get to you like this!"

"Tori! I thought I loved him!" I protested sitting upright crossing my legs.

"yeah...you thought," she rolled her eyes at me and mimicked my seating position.

"How else am I meant to respond to him? I can't go around acting as if nothings happened,"

Tori shook her head at me, "Callie, he's a boy! he's going to do that,"

"yeah, but thats different, he can hide his emotions," I repond.

"trust me, he's struggling to," she replied without thinking, her eyes widened.

"you spoke to him?" I accused, narrowing my eyes. I already knew this; I just wanted confirmation.

she sighed again, "he was really upset Callie..."

"I don't care, what excuse did he use? what player words did he use on you? he doesnt mean any of it," I told her leaning back onto my bed's head board.

She blinked, "Callie, he was really angry with himself, he told me-"

"what did he tell you Tori? He didnt mean it? He only said it because Cole was there? Only trying to get on Coles good side?" I scoffed.

"No! Callie! Stop being a bitch! whats with you today? your in such a mood!" Tori hardens her gaze on me.

"I'm in a bad mood," I muttered not looking her in the eye.

She smirked, "could've fooled me,"

I rolled my eyes at her, "Tori, don't,"

She gazes at me for a second before talking. "As your best friend, I'm expected to give you ice cream and chocolate and let you cry out how much you hate the guy before you burst into tears and I hold you till you fall asleep, then, I'm to not let you go near the boy and help you through your pain..."

My face brightened, oh the joys of having a best friend!

"but.....Im not going to do that."

what?!

"but...what!" I spluttered gaping at her.

"thats too easy," she murmured thinking.

"what. the. hell!" I exclaim.

"no...I know! I'll do the oppsite, I'll leave you here to drown in your self pity, then when you do go back to school, which of course, I hope is soon, I'll take every chance I've got to get you to talk to him." she  grins at herself.

"I would rather go without a shower for a month," I told her serious faced. She had to be kidding me.

please say she's kidding. please say she's kidding!

"eww, Callie, I don't think Sage would appreciate that much,"

"please Tori, don't leave me!" I plead sitting forward widening my eyes.

"uh, uh, no way Callie, you need to grow a back bone and stop falling for boys tricks," she grinned suddenly, "in fact, this is quite fun," she giggled at my expression.

I couldn't help opening my mouth in shock.

"close your mouth, you might catch flies," she smiles.

"I would rather have that than speaking to sage,"

"really? thats disgusting Callie," she replies dead serious.
