Dan's alarm blared at an unholy hour, waking him. He swore he had fallen asleep only moments prior.
"Fuck life," he groaned, smacking his phone and getting out of bed, zombified. He made his way to the kitchen, and only started acting remotely normal when he made himself coffee. Drinking it with pleasure, he woke up a little more, just in time enough to see Phil enter the kitchen. Dan handed him a cup of coffee, and earned a groggy appreciation grunt from Phil.

"I know you're basically still in sleep-mode, but, hey! We're going to fucking Japan!" Dan said, trying to get excited, but he was honestly still high on exhaustion. He sipped from his own mug of coffee and felt a tiny bit of energy from the caffeinated drink.
"Of course I'm excited, Dan. I'm just so tired right now and my brain isn't processing things quite yet. Give it half an hour and I'll be more awake," Phil assured with a sleepy smile.

Dan left, mug in hand, and headed to his room to gather up the last essentials for the trip. He hoped that the two didn't get into anything at the creepy airport. It wasn't quite like the airports in America (he had gone on a family vacation there once) but it was still overbearing. The airport workers were always on the watch, and Dan worried that if he made a wrong move they would probe him in the ass or something.

Do I have a fucking fear of airports...?

Maybe he did. He kept all this in mind as he threw his deodorant spray into his bag.

Luckily, the pair had gotten through the airport just fine, devoid of any asshole probes. They sat not-so-comfortably on the plane, their long legs tucked in close to them. Dan sat by the window and Phil in the middle, Dan hoping that the compainion who would eventually fill the third seat wouldn't be terrible.

The person that ended up sitting next to Phil was a teenage girl, probably about fourteen. She bore earbuds almost constantly, and was wearing a Panic! At The Disco t-shirt that caught Dan's attention. The girl's parents sat across the aisle, and the edgy-looking girl seemed thankful that she had slight solitary.

"Honey, are you sure you don't want to text your girlfriend that you're about to leave now?" The mother asked the girl.
"Mum, its fine. She's asleep anyway and she knows this flight will take forever, she won't text me while I'm on the plane. I'll take care of it when we're in Tokyo," said the girl, who then gave an exasperated sigh, tapping on her phone to turn on her music. Dan could clearly hear This is Gospel by Panic! At The Disco playing. He reached across and tapped the girl's shoulder. She turned to him and said,
"What?" Raising an eyebrow.
"I love Panic!, but I can hear your music."

Dan, expecting a snappy retort from the girl, instead received a smile and a nod. She turned down the music and spoke to Dan,
"You like Panic! At The Disco?" She asked.
"Yeah, great band. I also like Muse and MCR."
"Me too," she smiled. "My name is Maggie, by the way."
"I'm Dan."

Dan and Maggie actually held up a conversation for a little while, and even though they were speaking across Phil, it ended up being okay. Eventually, the conversation came to a stop, and Dan attempted at sleeping for a little. He wasn't able to nap for long, the airplane begun getting some turbulence.

Off the plane safely, and checked into their room, Dan and Phil took some time to get comfortable.

"What the hell...?" Phil's voice came from the bathroom. Dan went to investigate and discovered Phil confused by a control panel next to the toilet. "Soft spray...?" He read aloud, pressing the button. From the toilet, came what Dan liked to call the mini pole of doom, that proceeded to spray Phil's crotch. Dan lost it and burst out in laughter.

After getting settled in their hotel room, they decided to head out into the town, any remnants of their previous drowsiness gone.
In some random building, the two found a very odd photo booth, and decided to use it.

"Holy shit, it looks like some futuristic time machine or something," Dan commented upon stepping in. Phil nodded in agreement, also entering the Japanese time machine.

After taking multiple pictures in goofy poses, Dan and Phil discovered the option to make themselves look like anime characters. It was hopelessly fake, but the machine took their faces as enlarged the eyes and covered the whole thing with sparkles and flowers, adding blush marks to the boys' cheeks. They both laughed at how odd they looked, yet printed the photos anyway. Dan pocketed the pictures as the pair headed to... a burger cafe?

PLEASE READ
Hey, guys! I'm sorry I've been slow on the updates recently. School's been getting busy. I'm in all honors classes, I'm in the fall drama, I'm in a string quartet, I'm taking voice lessons, I'm taking tap lessons, I'm on the town soccer team, and rather than getting ready for soccer, I decided to edit and post this chapter. Please understand that while this book is pre-written, that I still edit the chapters before posting them, reading through and making changes. That's why I can't just update all the time, it doesn't just take two seconds. I also beg of you not to pressure me into posting. I know that you guys absolutely love this book, and I'm very appreciative for that, but I am a person with a life, a very busy one, too. I cannot cater to your needs, and therefore I cannot post consistently. Again, I'm sorry that posts have been lacking, but I have my reasons and I will try to be better.
